My friend and I popped in on our lunch break for a mug of tea. We shared New York baked cheesecake and chocolate brownie. They were both delicious. We have had the lovely scones on previous visits, and they come served warm.

Thus is our 4th time back to the Wellington Noticed its now got a 5 star 🌟 rating.. We loved the food and had a huge mixed grill .plus a great veggie burger The Xmas decorations were going up and a big log fire. We felt cozy and warm especially after a few drinks. Spoke to a few other customers who told us it had new management...we definitely will tell others about the great meals we've had. This was a typical country pu b. Only thing missing was Santa's reindeer.. wait until we bring our grand kids down..they'll have great fun finding the elf Staff friendly

Arrived for lunch with my son asked if I could sit in a empty booth and was told no its booked Was shown to a table by the toilets next to three other tables with guests so was not desirable I asked for another table please and was told I could sit in the bar area . Jodey told me all the other vacant tables were booked for bookings frankly I disbelieve this comment but it was her manner of sarcastically speaking that I felt was unacceptable with a smirk and a thankyou when I complained and asked he name Sorry I come out for lunch not to be treated like a child at school being told you will sit where I tell you attitude Had a lovely lunch elsewhere and sorry to say I won't be back so soon to have such poor service

Just had a couple of new items on their menu for lunch which were thoroughly enjoyed. Emma, Nathan & Tyler's service was excellent today specially under extremely busy circumstances (funeral wake). My husband and are frequent visitors to the "Oak" and are always satisfied with thefriendly staff and atmosphere.

We held a wake at The Red Lion yesterday and we would highly recommend it. The staff were friendly and helpful. I've unfortunately attended a few funerals recently and this was definitely the best food. There was a good selection of food which was beautifully prepared and lovely and fresh. The pub itself is lovely, homely and comfortable. We would like to say a huge thank you to the staff for helping to give our relative the send off she deserved.

Seemed nice and clean and welcoming inside. We had one cheese ploughman's roll and one turkey and stuffing roll. To drink, two cappuccinos and then a small chocolate shortbread. It came to £22. I was so shocked at the price that I queried it, which I wouldn't usually do. Turns out that the rolls cost around £7.50 each, even though the displayed price on them was around £4.65. I was told this was the eat in price. Shame that was not clearly displayed anywhere. I was actually told that it should have cost £24 but we had been given a discount on the shortbread. Nothing was provided with the prepackaged rolls, like a salad garnish. So, extremely expensive for a roll and coffee. The food was nice enough but I felt overcharged and annoyed that the "eat in" price was not clearly shown. Will make sure we don't visit any of their shops again. We eat out a lot and I have rarely felt so ripped off.

Typically people who have a negative one time experience tend to leave reviews. I have consistently gone to this sweet dessert place for five years now. Not once have I had a bad experience either with the food or the people who run it including the people behind the counter. My food has always been properly cooked, steaming hot and full of goodies with no holding back on the extras. I’ve had their pancakes or waffles there ice cream shakes I’ve sampled almost everything on the menu. It has been a once a week treat for me and my friends for five years and it has been consistently excellent service and excellent food. The people behind the counter I’ve been over the top warm and friendly unlike a lot of encounters in businesses around here who sometimes make the customer feel like they are putting them out to serve them. They make a point of giving you a friendly greeting warm and inviting when you walk in the door and are always glad to see you when you come and unlike some other places make you feel like they appreciate your business every single time. The food is to die for if you have a sweet tooth and everything is made fresh with the freshest ingredients. The fruit Is fresh, the batter is made fresh every day. I have watched them go through candy bars to check for expiration dates and any bananas with the slightest Brown get tossed. If you haven’t tried them please give them a try before paying any mind to the negative reviews of someone who may have had a one-off bad experience years ago. I promise you will not regret it.

The food was delightful - compliments to the chef and the service was excellent - Even though all the staff were nice and friendly- the two young lads Owen & Jamie provided an excellent service and both worked very hard. They were friendly and helpful - Nice to see these days - will definitely visit again.
