The best restaurants serving British food in Preston Rural North Preston North West

Had a meal on the day of new menu-disappointed that there was no choice for plain food except fish and chips!-no Scampi-no Chicken-please relook at this for plain eaters! Beef was tough in parts and the new potatoes with the fish were hard and bland! The duck was amazing as was the Eton Mess-so please please look at putting chicken on your menu -also have a mains salmon that’s not smoked!-on the whole lovely food as always-just needs a few tweeks!

We booked here for New Years Day as a treat with family. I had booked for afternoon tea and when we arrived we were told they were only serving a set menu. We explained the situation and the gentleman serving us spoke to the chef and they agreed to make the festive afternoon tea for us. We waited a little while as everything was made fresh and when it was arrived it was all beautiful! Fresh sandwiches with plenty of filling, warm scones straight from the oven and a selection of yummy cakes. The staff were all attentive without being intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. What a was to great start 2025! A lovely experience from start to finish. We live in the village and we definitely be back. Thanks to the chef and all of the team at the walled garden.

A busy lunchtime, but despite other reviews the service was very attentive and timely. Lots of choice and variety on the menu...we opted for mackerel and beetroot salad and the salmon and crayfish salad. Both absolutely delicious, very fresh and generous portions. Blackcurrant and lemon posset dessert was to die for! Very good and already looking forward to our next visit!

I visited this morning the hotel to deliver something to one of the hotel guest where I received an excellent guest or stakeholder services by the reception member called Paul and one girl ambassador or receptionist at the hotel reception. They helped me out of the box which is very admirable. I found an impresive atmosphere and friendly communication between team members which indicates they have received a satisfactory training by the seniors. Very disappointing. Food woeful - not much to choose from and all very basic. Staff non -engaging and not very welcoming.

First time here since they reopened the food and service was absolutely first class, keep up the great work

Been here a few times, and due to husbands illness...on my own. I have been treated so well, like we live here rather than visitors. Absolutely love this bar, thanks to bar staff, owner and locals. Wouldn't go anywhere else x

Located a few miles off the A6, the pub is a great old style village pub that serves great food. All the staff are attentive and helpful. Third visit in past year , all homemade. Great selection of meats on Sunday Lunch and Also homemade pies (beef and Haggis is excellent) I hope the pub continues as must be hard being just tucked away in the country.If you want a good traditional pub that serves great food visit the Green Man 👍👍👍

What a fab place. We went 20th Dec 24 th for a Christmas evening,it was lovely. The service food and entertainment you could not fault.a great place to go anytime. Thank you all for making our night out special.
