The best restaurants serving British food in Rossendale North West

Superb fish and chips from Tony's fresh fish bar, freshly cooked by Tony as you wait, what lovely friendly service in this chip shop, if in the area again we will will not hesitate to return again, we have yet to taste the steak pies we also bought but have no doubt they will be equally as good.

great british chippy definatly recomend going i got a nice sausage and chips and fast delivery time.

Food was very good, a lot of variety Prices are very fair for the area and compared to Manchester prices View was very good too

We came up to Middleton to look at a horse and could only get a room at The Forresters Arms. It surpassed our wildest expectations. The room was lovely, the staff were great and as for the dinner that 4 of us had it was superb!

If you are seeking high quality pub food with excellent service, you can’t get much better than The Whitchaff. Ever since its refurbishment, it has gone up to another level. The menu is so big, but I am yet to have a poor meal there and I have been there for many business and family meals.

Quaint cafe bar, great food and drink. Fantastic service. Ordered cocktails- tasted amazing. Well priced. Lovely place

This is the best chinese iv had in a long time, bbq ribs and chicken curry was beautiful can't wait to go again

The pub is in a lovely spot, and has had a beautiful refurbishment, unfortunately that’s where the good points end. The food is shocking. Served on chipped plates for a start with an abysmal side of wilting and browning ‘salad’ - literal leaves, and undercooked chips with zero seasoning, Not even offered any salt. Asked for sauces and was supplied literally two tables spoons of ketchup between 2 people. I regret not taking a photo to share, but how anyone could serve that and think it was acceptable was beyond me. If you want to have a lovely meal at a pub with a great atmosphere, stick to The Oxford! I definitely will be in future.

This cafe is now under new management, the new owners have created a superb cafe. This is the second time We have had breakfast here in a Sunday morning and it is absolutely wonderful. Really nicely cooked and the thick bread served with it is very nice. Reasonably priced as well. We will definitely be back.

we generally have a chippy supper once a month and we find that Ashtons is up there with the best of them. Great fish, proper chips and choice of curry sauces. Worth giving it a go if your passing.

Escondido en una zona industrial es un porta kabin vendiendo spoon cafe comidas británicas típicas de grasa. ¿Qué no es típico que por dentro es limpio y alegre, y la calidad de la comida es superior. No hay restaurante pero sí una buena cocina al estilo de la casa. Un hallazgo.

Really poor quality chips was like they had been warmed up from yesterday, salad was lovely and fresh but meat was horrid and kinda slimy
