I went with my son and girlfriend on 12/01/2025 and we can honestly say Iwe Good size portions really enjoyed our meal. Good size portions. The prawn starter had my tongue dancing with the flavour. Salmon main definitely recommended and my son and partner said their Sunday lunch was really nice also. I would 100% recommend . The staff were also wonderful. I will definitely be returning

On my visit to Hyde today (Tuesday 12th November 2024) i noticed this chippy had a few special deals on the windows so i went inside. Inside the chippy was a price list. On the price list there was also a specials section ( Tuesday-sausage and chips £4.00 and on a Thursday pie and chips £4.75. Being a Tuesday i ordered 2 sausage and chips. I was told a different price than the one shown quite clearly on the price list board. I asked why it was a different price than the on shown quite clearly on the board and was told they dont do the specials anymore(if this is not a scam why Bosums leave it on the price list board knowing that they dont do it? I also think that this is illegal). I remember when this chippy used to be very busy now i know why it is not !!!! Places like this that deliberately try to deceive dont deserve your custom !!!! Give your custom to a business that doesn't rip customers off !!!. AVOID !!! SHAME ON YOU BOSUNS !!!!

After a not so good experience a few months back we returned to give it another go , must say it was excellent ,eight of us were really impressed the service was very good the meals all came out at the same time and everyone agreed that the food was first class , well done the bar and kitchen staff

Title: Exceptional Service That Saved the Day! I recently visited Bar MCR Airport and had a memorable experience—though not entirely for the reasons I expected. When my meal arrived, I unfortunately found a hair in my food. I was a bit taken aback, but the way the staff addressed the situation turned my disappointment into praise. The management was incredibly responsive. As soon as I brought the issue to their attention, they were extremely apologetic and acted swiftly to rectify it. Within minutes, I was presented with a fresh plate of my meal, perfectly prepared, along with a complimentary drink as a gesture of goodwill. Their quick response and genuine concern for my dining experience were remarkable. It’s not just about the food; it’s how a restaurant handles challenges that truly defines their service. Bar MCR Airport went above and beyond to ensure I felt valued as a customer. I left with a smile on my face and a willingness to return. Highly recommend this place for their exceptional service and care—mistakes happen, but it’s how they are handled that makes all the difference! We have eaten here several times over the years so always happy to return. The service from our Waitress Marissa was excellent and couldn't be faulted - well done Marissa and thank you. The food was OK. Not the best we've had. The Poached Salmon Fishcake was disappointing. Hardly any Salmon at all and was mainly mashed potato. The Leek velute was tasty but needed to be more of it to soak up all the mash. The Sea Bass fillet was very nice but again it was served with a huge lump of mashed potato and not enough of the sauce. My partner had the Grilled Bury Black Pudding which was really thin and there was more Crumpet than Black Pudding, but he said it was very tasty. He then had the Three Cheese and Onion Pie with chips. Plenty of cheese in the pie but the pastry was very brown and hard. Not our best experience on this particular visit, so it will be out last for a while.

Absolute joke of a place. Had a Christmas Eve pyjama party booked the kids have been looking forward to it and just been told off the restaurant that it was a mistake and mottram wood aren’t doing the Christmas Eve pyjama party. So how has it been confirmed I have an email infact two and is it advertised everywhere all the websites an socials. mottram wood have confirmed the booking, when I enquired through greenking website they’re also advertising the event everywhere yet it isn’t on! 🫡 What a joke!. Not only this we turned up yesterday with the kids as they are advertising Santa grotto on every sat/sun 1pm-8pm got there at 5 to be told Santa’s had a day off today. Please don’t say you do events if you don’t false advertising to adults is one thing but letting down kids is horrible.

We have eaten here a few times and the lack of consistency always leaves you wondering what the experience will be like this time. The last time my mum ate here, they tried to charge her for a more expensive meal than the one she'd actually had. Three of us came for lunch on Monday and it was very quiet, so we expected the service to be good. We were sadly disappointed. The service began okay enough but declined rapidly. The food was nice but the time we had to wait for our main course (three pizzas) was far too long. We then waited a while for someone to come to ask if we wanted dessert or coffee so that we could ask for the bill. There were only a couple of other tables occupied but the waitresses seemed to prefer standing by the bar having a chat, rather than providing good customer service. Very disappointing.

Been here in the past and food has been good so thought we would book for a night out! Arrived and they didn’t seem to have our booking but that was okay as we were the only ones in there. Me were seated and asked for drinks. My partner asked for an IPA and the waitress said I don’t know what that is. Fair enough but instead of finding out she just looked puzzled so he ordered a larger! We ordered and food arrived. I had fish and chips- think the lid must had fallen off the Perer as the chips were coated in it! My partner was eating some mash potato and he felt something in his mouth! To his horror (and mine) it was a SNAIL!!!! It put me off my food as well at that point! We told the waitress who shrugged her shoulders and said sorry the chef doesn’t know how it got in there! We then get offered the dessert menu- as if we’d want to eat anything else! We went to pay as we just wanted to leave at this point. Then to be told I’ve took one pint off the bill and a couple of pounds off the meal- your customer service is appalling! Charging for food that you serve with a snail in. We did wonder why it was so quiet when we came in at 7pm on a Friday evening. With customer service like that, it’s no wonder. It’s safe to say we won’t ever be returning!
