The best restaurants serving British food in Warrington North West

Came in the other night for the Halloween quiz which was so much fun, the service is amazing and the gammon is incredible.

We took our dog a walk in Lymm Village and called in for a meal. We had booked earlier for a dog friendly table. The pub was busy and our table was a bit cramped, so we moved to a table with more space. Our food order was quickly taken and delivered to us piping hot and within a short wait. The meal was delicious, as usual, and we were delighted again.

We visited for Sunday lunch and it was the best one I have had in a restaurant. Beef was tender and the sides were delicious. Very generous portions for a good price.

We have been here so many times and loved it, celebrating many a special occasion but our last visit for lunch I don’t know what went wrong. 1pm on a sunny Saturday I’d expect it to be bustling but there was only one table occupied. We sat out the back as it was a beautiful day but the outside was untidy and unclean. All the staff during our very short visit were just sat around on their phones. We were served very a limp, tasteless panini that we couldn’t even finish with brown turning lettuce on the side. If I wanted a disappointing lunch I would have had lunch at home!

Would be 1 star but got a refund we had been on along car journey home and called at the crown for a late lunch we waited ages for the food we had steak paninis which we have had loads of times and always come cooked thru no blood today they were blue my sweet potato fry’s were stone cold we took the meat off and took home for the dog 2 girls and chef sat at a table never asked was everything ok went to bar told the girl who had no intreast just smiled and asked for payment as we walked past the other girl I asked who the manager was she said James and asked why told her and she gave a refund if there going to do steak so pink they need to ask how we want it a good vet could of brought it back to life

On arrival was ignored by the staff who seemed to be more interested in serving ‘regulars, in the bar. Queued to order food (for3) which was slow but acceptable as it was busy. Eventually got to the front to be told SORRY NO SCAMPY LEFT (@6.30)? Had to return back to the table to find an alternative for daughter. Returned to order and excuse myself for going to front of quew only to be told SORRY NO CHIC N MIX. HAD to return to table yet AGAIN to get another alternative before returning for the third time. As if that was not bad enough the third alternative was dry and most of it was sent back. The food for my wife and I was ok and the table staff fine and welcoming. But never again. There are alternative options we won’t be back.

Absolutely lovely gem of a pub. We stayed two nights. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff and so accommodating. Food excellent plenty of choice for beer ales and wine. Room stay was comfortable and cosy with the bathroom upstairs! We celebrated our wedding anniversary and a lovely surprise from the landlord and bottle of Prosecco! If you’re into walking. It’s a must, such beautiful countryside to explore. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will return:@)

Following a new chef and new kitchen refurb the food is back at The Farmers with a great fresh start! The chef had come from the highly acclaimed Dog & Partridge and has worked with the owners to ensure that great pub grub is cooked and served brilliantly. We were one of the first diners with the new team and menu, and it was a great success, the food was excellent, great ingredients, cooked and served really well. Really pleased with the new food and definitely recommend that people go and try the new menu and team!

The food is really first class as are the staff. It is always popular but you can walk around the shop while a table becomes vacant. There are lots of food and gifts to explore.

Our local cafe in Birchwood Shopping Centre just stepped up it's game to another level. Always a great breakfast spot but the speed of service today was incredible...no sooner had we sat down with our excellent coffee our breakfast arrived...the lady making the meals up was listening as we ordered and started putting our food together as we were paying... very slick professional service and great value food. Many thanks, we are lucky to have such a great local cafe we can walk to.

Lovely food, home made and delicious. Also, reasonably priced. Service was excellent too, friendly and obliging. We will certainly return.

Ordered our lockdown tea treat of fish and chips was absolutely delicious fish and chips were fresh and tasty curry and peas mmmmm deffo be ordering again

A great pub. My car had broken down and I waited in the pub (for about 8 - 9 hours) whilst I waited for road side assistance. I stayed warm by the fire. The staff were so kind and friendly- checking in on progress and making sure I was ok. They let me use their phone charger. The food was delicious - I had the scallops, fries, the salmon fish cakes and the brownie. I definitely will return as my head office is close by. Couldn't have broken down in a better location. -6 outside but so lovely and warm inside.

great place to eat and friendly staff ....right on my doorstep ...food is all reasonably priced and really good

Nice bar food especially the wings. Kids food was also decent.
