The best restaurants serving British food in Wigan North West

We had a walk to here on a sunny midweek afternoon my grandson and myself It was nice to sit outside and have cold drinks We also had something to eat,we had chicken burger and roast beef roll with chips food was basic but nice although there was not a lot of choice on the menu It seems OK for a dinner time snack but not for a family meal Would I go back again? Yes nice for a sit outside and a snack John

Same asian owners as next door post office/convenience store. Small food servings the,peas and gravy were awful. Take away chip shop only. Ianguage barrier . Expensive.

Only went in for a nice cold refreshing drink - left with a kitchen, cooker, dishwasher, 2 bar stools, a table, and 4 chairs 🙃

La comida era buena, personal. Muy amable, la desventaja era diferente al carvery tradicional donde vas al mostrador y ves lo que se ofrece y el chef corta la carne elegida, pero la camarera toma su pedido en su mesa, así que no ves lo que pidió hasta que llega a su mesa, por lo tanto solo 3 estrellas

First time at this chippy . I’m recently diagnosed Coeliac and found out via Facebook that Pepper lane chippy catered for gluten free , staff where so helpful, I got mixed up with ordering and they still made sure I had what I asked for , lovely food really enjoyed and will definitely be back ! Highly recommend, loads of parking too and so clean and tidy !

Coming to the whistling wren was a last minute plan for me, my wife, and little girl. Absolutley brilliant from the moment we walked in. Amy and abbie, took the time to explain to us about the allergies and shown us how to check them on the website as our girl has a dairy intolerance. Service was superb and so was the food and drinks.
