A really bang on pub. I very much enjoy spending time in here downing lots of the golden nectar.

A Total RIP off !!! Ordered the 2 for £11.50 (twice - due to there being 3 of us - 1 meal to take home) On the recommendation of the Staff, I joined the Sizzler app - to qualified for:- a) Free drinks b) 40% off (all food) Was charged £28.28, - informed that the free drinks was only on certain drinks!! & the 40% did not apply to other 'offers' I maintain that the 2 for £11.50 was part of the normal menu & not classed as an specific offer It was, therefore, unnecessary to order two 2 for £11.50 meals!!! I was charged full price for each meal I did, however, receive the 40% of the food The Stag have now lost 3 plus customers PLUS

A charming pub by the canal My steak pie with chips, veg and gravy was a good portion and tasty. Good beers on offer as well. Friendly Staff

I had a meal here with some friends and it was fantastic. I've got a bunch of food intolerances which can always be a worry when going out to eat but the staff here were really accommodating and never made me feel like I was being a bother or anything. The food itself was great and the service top notch, would highly recommend.

Estoy de acuerdo con las otras críticas sobre el olor y la mala calidad de la cerveza, solo desearía haberlas leído primero. Normalmente un pub independiente es mejor que una cadena, pero esta pronto habría tenido una nueva gestión si fuera parte de una cadena. No sirve comida, que es igual de bien porque dudo que obtenga un certificado de higiene. En cuanto al olor, no estoy seguro de si son los baños o la humedad general, pero probablemente dice por qué era tan tranquilo. Se necesita un bebedor empedernido para ser feliz aquí.

Took mum for Lunch after booking online, the waitress Alaina looked after us fantastically well. The coffee was not right but it changed it for us immediately and the food was great.Mum really enjoyed her lunch and commented on how nice the waitress had been. I was also given a Loyalty card as mum does not live far from the restaurant so will be returning with her. Thankyou Aliana!

Was once a great place, but now, along with the accompanied Premier Inn has decided to stiff the uk public by accomodating immigrants of fighting age, no families, just able bodied men. And closed the pub to simply cater for said immigrants from the hotel. Something is seriously wrong.

Brilliant Christmas at the Talbot great Christmas dinner enjoyed by all. The Talbot never disapoints all the staff are brilliant and the service is second to none. We are realy looking forward to celebrating new year's eve with another festival meal and a drink with family and friends. Thank you to Jonathan and all the hard working staff who all go the extra mile to making Christmas special.

This is possibly the best English Breakfast I have had for a long time. Not what I was expecting at all. Great portions, lovely people and service. If you like a hearty breakfast this is the place to eat. Enjoy!

Food was delivered within 10 minutes. Always fresh and tasty. Protein sizes are always large. Definitely my go to chippy. 100% what’s needed on a wet and miserable night like tonight. Keep up the good work!

We were introduced to Dam house by a friend a few months ago and we love coming here. We had breakfast and dinner previously but today we came for Sunday dinner which is £15 for main and dessert. Not only just excellent value, the food was excellent and home made. Better than a lot of pubs also. They also offer wine and beer. Our new favourite place and it’s a lovely building too. Cannot recommend enough!
