The best restaurants serving British food in Dover South East

Ein wirklich sehr schönes Restaurant direkt am Meer. Perfekt, um die Wartezeit auf die Fähre in netter Umgebung zu verbringen. Sehr gutes (auch vegetarisches!) Essen, sehr nette Bedienung, gemütliches Kaminfeuer. Große Empfehlung!

Popped in for a coffee on New year's day. Fire was just being lit and it was a perfect sanctuary from the terrible weather. It's dog friendly and has fantastic views over the seafront.

We ate at the restaurant on 16th December and based on the other reviews I think I was unlucky. The confit heritage tomatoes for the starter were poorly cooked. There was hard green tomato alongside mushy red tomato. My halibut main was overcooked. At £28 I wish I had sent it back. But we were with friends, and the restaurant was their recommendation. And overall we had a good time so I didn't want to create a bad vibe. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was, for a Monday, really good. I take responsibility for not sending back my dishes but the cooking here doesn’t match the London prices. I wouldn’t go back.

Fui a visitar a mi familia y yo fuimos al otro lado de la Red Lion, diría que es uno de los mejores pubs de St Margarets el personal es muy amable y acogedor. El precio es muy asequible y el ambiente era increíble. No podía pedir más. Sin duda volveremos de nuevo.

We have fish n chips every couple of weeks from here then go sit down the sea front always great quality and reasonably priced. We phone our order through and is always ready to be made up when we arrive. Give it a try won't be disappointed

The place itself is fine and staff are friendly. However the food is well below average. We had 2 regular roasts with 2 pigs in blankets each. It's £2.50 each extra for these plus an extra £3.00 each because it's a Sunday on top of the normal price. The gravy was just warm water with brown food colouring. The minute portion of meat was not enough for a small child. The roast potatoes tasted off. The mash potatoes did taste ok as well as the peas and leaks but it would be really hard to mess these up. They also do burgers which looked ok my advice is to stay home and cook your own or visit a friend's if you want a roast dinner.

Had a fab Sunday roast. Desserts were great too. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

We had the most amazing Christmas lunch here today. Last year was chaotic and a tad disappointing but this year was just lovely. Food was really good and the service was excellent. Not rushed at all. Big shout out to our server Chrissy G who went above and beyond to make it memorable ❤️🎄

Hugely improved with new management! Gorgeous roast (very fresh) puddings and cocktails. Attentive service. Clean and comfortable. I wonder if there will be some outside summer heaters within the renovations taking place 🤔. Would certainly make a big difference and allow outside area to be enjoyed for more months outside.

Nice people serving tasty, fresh sandwiches in a small and cozy tearoom. Also different cakes to enjoy. Parking (paid) closeby

Wow! I have no idea how this place has a 4* on Tripadvisor! There was 5 of us there for lunch today, fish and chips- fish was burnt x2, chicken burger was burnt and inedible, and the breakfast was very disappointing, it was not busy so there was no excuse for this especially for £60! Very disappointing.

Not the first time i have been in here but will be the last. Always loved the "real fish and chip shop vibe" now it's cold beans and frozen skinny chips.

Yet again an excellent meal. I had bubble and squeak with bacon, ducks egg and a side of black pudding. My partner had the eggs benedict. Quality was exceptional and the portions were generous. We were served by Emily who was first class and very attentive.

I enjoyed my full English breakfast here .My favourite is the hash browns,however you must note that when you come here you must carry cash because they don’t accept cards .
