If we could put an 11 out of 10 we would do. From the moment we were greeted at the door and coats taken to the friendly waitress who took us to our table and and gave us just excellent service. We started with a beer and expresso coffee while sitting and choosing what to have off the menu. Just to say every thing we chose looked good and was very tasty including a very nice bottle of wine. Plus we didn't feel rushed when we had our coffees at the end of our meal just a brilliant evening. Plus our friendly waitress sings and plays in a local band. Called Peachy Keen . They are good. Just a lovely evening we shall be back. Ken.Cindy

Lovely staff, and lovely Vegan Breakfast ! although I wish I didn't get the kids one.(my fault as didnt see the other bigger menu) cant remember how much the child's vegan breakfast was but love a bit of avocado ! The booths were a bit on the small side for me and my partner who is 6'2, but a nice size cafe and can go sit on the sofa if you wish (Batman (1966)) playing on the tv which i thought was nice) Lovely little place, shame its tucked out the way as never knew it was there! 5* for the staff and atmosphere. thank you

My Wife, Granddaughter and Myself visited this pub one lunchtime during September on the back of a recommendation. We were so glad we did..the pub itself is a beautiful building with history attached to it. The open fire was lit too which added to the feel and overall experience of the pub. We all had two courses which was delicious. I thoroughly recommend the food and the pub as a whole you won't be disappointed. We will certainly visit again at some point when we next visit the Isle of Wight.

With all the amazing reviews I had seen I thought we were in for a treat, how wrong was I, £50 (+ the extra £5 for delivery they randomly texted across 30 mins before food was due to arrive) and most of it went in the bin Underwhelming and basic, the roast potatoes arrived underdone, I had to put them in the air fryer for 20mins, tiny portions, flavourless cauliflower cheese, 3 tiny soggy parsnips, watery gravy, honestly for the price point I expected to be blown away but it was probably the worst roast I've had in a long time. Maybe the restaurant is better but I would definitely not recommend a Sunday roast 😭

Always a busy place but staff are efficient & the food is very good. We both had the turkey roast & we really enjoyed it. A relaxed local cafe & the price of food very affordable

To be fair I am comparing to Ocean Village Southampton which gets 5/5 on all counts. Correo staff OK highlighted more by fact ambience in venue really not great. Don't get decor, if going for shabby chic they haven't achieved it. Numerous odd paintings on a wall that is made to look like plaster has been removed due to damp or mould. Food tepid but good apart from that.

Popped in for a quick lunch with a toddler and unfortunately the experience was very poor. Fish and chips were inedible - dripping in grease. Roasted veg panini, asked to be warmed and came back deconstructed and floppy. Every coffee cup was dirty and cutlery was grubby too. Thankfully they offered a refund but didn’t seem to want to listen to why we were unhappy - a big shame as sister store in Lake is always good.
