The best restaurants serving British food in Shepway South East

Lovely family run restaurant, went down to the beach with the kids for my birthday and the staff and food was lovely, big thank you to Julie for hosting!

Went with family for Sunday roast, the best I’ve ever had, going back next week. I had the turkey Yorkshire pudding wrap it was fantastic. Staff were brilliant best Sunday roastI’ve ever had out?

A great example of a Kentish Local. Fabulous food, great hospitality and lots of friendly locals. Great food, a very warm welcome and a very entertaining darts team.

Return visit for Wedding Anniversary lunch. Not disappointed at the choice of venue. Beautiful old building, lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious and plentiful. Staff very attentive and friendly. Back again next week.

Busy cafe. We waited for a table and were not disappointed. Food was to a very high standard. BLT sub for me and tuna mayo brown bread sandwich first class. Each was accompanied by a small side salad and tortilla chips.

Excellent friendly restaurant Christmas meal. Great taste and portion size wonderful value for money. A little village gem well worth visiting.

We had booked a table for 10 people for my mums birthday we had been with a slightly larger group end of October which was great . Today we were put in the bar which was ok as the table was big enough . Kerry our waitress was really lovely and friendly and had a sense of humour . Sadly the lady called Ellie behind the bar needs to learn to smile !! And try being polite and nice . She was constantly giving our table dirty looks because we were joking and laughing not being a nuisance to anyone and Kerry was joining in . We felt put under pressure to leave I even asked if we were holding them up but it wasn’t even closing time . It’s a real shame because if Mandy had been behind the bar this wouldn’t have happened. We have spent a lot of money there tonight and was made to feel uncomfortable. If you don’t want a party of 10 then don’t book it . Kerry was such a good laugh shame the others don’t know what a smile is !! We are now reluctant to return . We have used this pub for many occasions over the years . Not good to make people feel uncomfortable and not welcome

Popped in here for food one Friday lunchtime, Don’t serve food. Shame. Nice atmosphere and lots of people in!

Great food in a charming environment. All for a good cause and v wholesome. I would thoroughly recommend!

The food was decent but the cheeseburger wasn’t as good but the ice cream was really nice all different foods there was I would recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed the honeycomb icecream , it had huge chunks of honeycomb you will never find elsewhere! AND the signature Amaretto flavour is just right, just enough flavour without being too strong. This little shop is perfectly located near the beach, train, fair & car parks. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Look forward to our next visit .

We are on holiday and stopped in for some lunch our puppy was crying outside they said he could come in and they gave him a treat nice people

Food was a little disappointing. The venue is amazing though.

Great food and friendly staff.good value for money

An excellent Sunday lunch for 8 family members. An interesting menu and great service. I had the roast lamb, it's a good portion with an exceptional Yorkshire Pudding. The broccoli and green beans were lightly cooked, still bright green and crisp as there should be. The roast potatoes could have been a little crisper but the tender, tasty lamb more than made up for that. With squid to start and mouse for dessert I left feeling very well fed.
