The best restaurants serving British food in St Peter and the Waterfront Plymouth South West

Worse service ever. Delivered wrong item. When I called 9 times on different numbers. Apparently they couldn’t hear me. I was stuck with something I couldn’t eat as they put pineapple on my pizza and I am allergic… Absolutely disgusting service.

A great luncheon out with our Godson and his wife. The weather allowed us to be seated in the conservatory overlooking the marina. The menu was varied and everyone liked something. We all had three courses, absolutely delicious. All meals well presented, generous in portion size, and freshly prepared. Our waitress Rosita was patient for us to make our minds up, attentative to our needs, pleasant and friendly and allowed a nice time in between courses. This venue was clean and tidy, condiments full on each table, superb drinks and we will indeed be dining there again.

Greeted by friendly and helpful staff, but unfortunately that was as good as it got. Drinks arrived very promptly but the simple food order of three fish and chips took almost an hour. We were told that it was a Sunday and there were only two chefs working, though half the restaurent had been closed off, so there were not that many covers available. When the meal finally arrived it was, to say the least, very average. The promised chips turned out to be tragically limp fries and another vague explanation was offered about a 'breakdown mid-preperation.' Should have known better as we had waited a similar lenght of time on a previous visit in the summer. We were offered free drinks in compensation but by that time we just wanted to be out of there. In fairness, the bill had 10% taken off, but it did not compensate for a very dreary experience. This in the Barbican area of Plymouth where there are countless alternatives serving fish. We will definitely be exploring them next time!

Doesn't serve food ,but you can take food in and eat good staff steady and good cider is good too 👍 👌 😋

Very disappointed with this place. No atmosphere. Very bland interior. Trying to be upmarket which isn’t working. The prices are way too dear. The waitress was very friendly which made up for the other faults.

Warm friendly welcome,great cup of tea and exceptional personal service from lady on door,who entertained us and gave us a potted history of company.

Sit right next to the sea to dream & relax, & enjoy excellent coffee, cakes & absolutely delicious bacon baps. The family team who run this are always super friendly & welcoming. We can't stay away.

Lovely place to have food. However, staff were slightly dismissive and not very attentive. Decided to move half the Xmas decorations around whilst people are eating is off putting. Hopefully next time we visit is better!

Delicious food and great service.

Used to come in here alot and enjoyed thier toasted sandwiches with a bit of salad. Came in today to have a cardboard cup of coffee and a bag with my toastie in ?? If I wanted my sandwich in a bag with no salad I'd have gotten a takeaway. Another customer lost I'm afraid....no fresh food, everything served in a bag...we will go somewhere else that serves food on a plate at the table next time

A lovely pub with rooms to stay in. The room was clean, comfortable and had a really high quality shower. Breakfast is included with the room and the selection is suitable for all guests even Vegetarian and Vegan options available. Tea and coffee facilities in the room, TV has lots of channels to choose from, allowing guests to relax after a long day in Plymouth. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. However, the stairwell ceilings are a little low, so beware if you are on the tall side, you may bang your head if not careful.

The food takes a little while to get to the table but overall the food is delicious, staff are great and the view is incredible; even in the rain.

Visited here with my son as hrs colieac so wanted somewhere safe to enjoy a chippy ! 😋 food lovely, prices quite reasonable. Only thing I would say is staff were a bit standoffish, apart from one girl with glasses on the till who was so welcoming , I think she was new maybe but an absolute credit to the place .
