The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

Ive had chips here for a number of months, never freshly cooked and always had left over crumbs. Not worth the money.

Popped in today for a takeaway Sunday roast, beautiful flavours everything was cooked perfectly and portions were massive. Definitely will be going back with the family fir a Sunday treat

We had THE most fabulous brunch experience with my family to celebrate my 65th birthday! Food amazing (as always!), service top notch and with our 8 adults and 3 children, hospitality was second to none. Thanks to Harry and his team for making it such a memorable occasion. Louise x

Amazing service, very good staf, amazing food, very clean atmosphere.

I hadn't been since covid and was very disappointed. Gone was the white tablecloth and silver service. Fine dining was out of the window. I took friends who were disappointed as I had rated Origins way above what now exists. The food was acceptable but my friend had gristle in her pork, tough turkey and hard pastry on her mince pie.The service was poor and no better than I get in my local pub. We expected much better. So disappointed

This is a truly lovely place with a nice atmosphere. I asked them to host a wake, and the owners were incredible- unbelievably helpful, from adapting the menu to providing a television, right down to returning lost property. Food was brilliant too, and the prices good. Can’t recommend enough.

Had a Sunday lunch here whilst on holiday, 5 of us including 3 very hungry children and a dog. Phoned ahead and reserved a table. Food was excellent, service very good and helpful. Chef catered for veggie kids with a veggie sausage roast, and thoughtfully sent out extra veggie gravy for us. The roast potatoes were amazing. Puddings all round were great. Great stuff, would definitely visit again.

The worst cafe I’ve ever been to who ever is leaving good reviews on here must be on crack sausage absolutely disgusting bacon no taste the do not recommend to anyone it’s not hard to make a good breakfast very poor

Had a 16th birthday for my daughter at the crown and I couldn’t recommend it enough! The service, the staff was just excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Such a lovely place and the staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Food was amazing. Thank you team crown for making it so special. Can’t wait to have more birthdays there.
