Lovely little ice cream shop. Been a couple of times and flavours are always delicious. Seems very popular with locals and owner is always very friendly.

Wish i could leave 50 stars! Beautiful quiet and peaceful campsite with beautiful views of the countryside and surrounded by cows and sheep. Tanya is lovely to deal with and Mark who manages the site is an absolute legend. He's friendly, knows loads about the area and goes out of his way to make sure everyone has a great time There are only 2 loos and showers on site (both unisex) but with such a small site we didn't have to wait at any time. The showers are great, no button to keep pressing and adjustable temperature. There's a baby change unit, hairdryer and straighteners. Fridge outside with an honesty box for local produce, and a wonderful cookery equipment shop which also sells amazing cakes Bus stop not too far away and absolutely loads to see and do in the area 100% going to be returning

I have just read the managers new reply. OMG, shocked. I think the tone and the fact that my mobility issue had to be on show for all to see is an insult. As we were offered a short low down bar stool as my wife has mobility issues. Lady who showed us in, then didn't seem happy we were not accepting the stools. She took us back outside to wait outside the door and told us we would have a long wait and asked us to wait until the table came free. NOT THE QUEUING PROCESS that was the problem. It was how we were spoken to and treated because we didn't accept what was offered. Lady talked to us like a school mistress, then pointed and was aggressive at one point all because i moved to look in the shop window and away from the queue point she had placed us at. We were not there to be spoken to like naughty school children, so we left. All because we weren't standing in the right spot outside, whilst only us were there. Raised with the manager who seemed to think her attitude was OK, as does the owners reply to my review, not exactly a professional reply, just excuses for poor customer service. Shame as I was taking my husband there for the first time and with a wedding in mind for an outfit, as it came highly recommended. Will be sharing my experience with others. My advice avoid as they might have great food, their customer service wasn't great, and the owners' reply is not accepting perhaps they got it wrong. DISAPPOINTING 😞

Great food, very friendly service and cosy atmosphere. Fab all round.

We came for a last-minute booking after a walk at Fountains Abbey. The staff were very attentive and quickly resolved missing items from roast dinners. Food was spot on! The highlight of the meal was the rice pudding. Children well catered for, and we did not feel rushed. Very cosy atmosphere. If I am being picky, there was a little wait for mains to be cleared, and we were thinking of leaving without dessert. The waiter resolved this with a prompt order and had the bill ready when our toddler became restless. Will return with in laws!

Absolutely excellent Christmas Dinner, friends agreed and have booked for next year , not a single issue all very good , very happy well done to all the team

Great food & great service!! They even weighed my ingredients for my scrambled egg box so I could track my calories!! Would 100% recommend!

Beautiful location, had a fantastic weekend away in the 4 person cabin, the wood fired hot tub was lovely and hot! The cafe did an amazing breakfast and the staff were lovely. Thank you!!

The finest steak and ale pie I’ve tasted. The menu provides a great selection without being overkill. The staff is friendly and engaging and the prices are very competitive.

Delicious home cooked Sunday Carvery, amazing food, great service and lovely atmosphere. A real gem.
