Stanley’s is a wonderful cafe on the St. James Retail Park in Knaresborough. The food is exceptional , in fact it’s restaurant quality produce at cafe prices. The cakes and scones are all homemade and absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly, efficient and attentive. Be prepared to queue as it’s a busy cafe , but worth the wait. Free parking is a bonus. My only complaint is ~ I wish you were in Wetherby.

Super pub. Proper local pub that serves excellent food. Atmosphere is great, dog friendly, friendly and helpful staff, warm ( log fire) and welcoming. I went for my birthday meal and the dessert was brought with a candle and pub broke into Happy Birthday. Food was very tasty and hearty. Definitely recommend.

I arranged to meet a friend here as it was roughly half way for us both. What a lovely and wonderful find. Walking in to the pub felt like being wrapped up warm, it felt very local and homely with comfortable old world pub feel. The staff were lovely and very friendly. The food was exceptionally good. I think there's same floor access for disabled people. Dog access was good and the staff were great with him. Outeide area looked like there were plenty of places to walk and soak in the countryside (though it was dark when I went). I'd definitely recommend This place

Quite dissappinting that there are no gluten free options on the menu. I didn't expect gluten free pancakes as I know it may be hard to ensure no cross contamination but it would have been nice if they had some gluten free cakes instead. Their solution was that I could make my own meal off the menu using any ingredients which were gluten free or a salad. Which was pretty much a cooked breakfast with no bread or a salad which I didn't fancy in the morning!

I have been to the George for meals for many years usually for Sunday lunch. Today I went with a friend on a Thursday for the pensioners special. I have many food intolerances and dont eat meat but the George is happy to cook me a piece of plain fish without sauce. My friend ofted for a choice of meats/ yorks pud then we could fill our plates with as much veg and sauces/ gravy as we wanted. The meal was excellent value, superbly cooked wirh a good choice of veg. I would really recommend The George

This is a fantastically run amazing fish and chip establishment . J & Kim are so hospitable and go above and beyond to accommodate. I turned up at 8:10pm and they rightly had closed but very kindly took my order. I will make sure I am on time next time. As a southern softie this gave me a constant reminder of why this east end boy moved up north. This is a gem not to me missed. Bravo. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿🥰

came to try the winter afternoon tea, had a great selection of sandwiches with the salmon being my favourite, the scone is absolutely delicious and the cream was the perfect consistency. the desserts weren’t my favourite but thats just because i dont have a sweet tooth. great selection of teas available and great customer service

Food was very tasty although we'd all have preferred a larger sized portions for the price of the meals! What was disappointing was the price of a non-alcohol beer which cost £6.00! With the 10% service charge that was £6.60 for a bottle of beer! I can buy this drink in the supermarket for under £1.00 so the mark-up in my opinion is unacceptable.
