The best restaurants serving British food in Sheffield Yorkshire and The Humber

We ate here on a Saturday night. Warm welcome from the owner. The food is traditional pub grub such as cottage pie, liver and onions, sausage and mash, chilli, scampi etc. all home cooked.

Cute country style pub, nice staff

Really friendly service and a superb monthly quiz with an excellent quiz master! Nice warm and cozy atmosphere with plenty of seating, nooks and open fires. Perfect for a cold winters evening. Choice of beer was quite limited and would have been nice to see more local beers - especially for a rural inn like this surrounded by independent breweries. Food was very tasty, but portions were a little small for the price.

The vegetarian selection on the buffet was great, really nice variety, not the same old boring stuff on offer in other pubs.

Went for Christmas party - moved to a table in the middle of the restaurant rather than the snug. Place was overcrowded with louts and the DJ deafeningly loud, making it impossible to converse. Food was poor including highlights such as; one slice of beef, one roast potato, half a carrot and half a parsnip. Pea & Mint soup was nice, probably bought from the TESCO round the corner. Would not recommend

Outstanding experience; absolutely brilliant. Best bar service from Timothy and Edward, very knowledgeable and helpful for talking through the various options in beers and drinks. I enjoyed a lovely Pravha, the perfect pairing for my food. My waitress, Jasmine, fabulously charismatic and entertaining with my long winded order. Brilliant patience with walking me along the meticulous great menu. Thank you very much Wagon.

Fuimos a la cena de Navidad con la familia, fue increíble, me encantó todos los toques especiales que habían añadido para Navidad, la comida era encantadora y caliente, todo fresco no congelado (que habíamos tenido en años anteriores por el último propietario) era un pub lleno, pero nunca nos quedamos sin una bebida en la mano, una gran palmadita en la espalda a la señora del terreno y su personal, sin duda recomendaría para el próximo año

Absolutamente terrible experiencia mi pareja apareció con su familia para una función familiar, que tiene 22 años. Pidió una pinta con su comida y se le negó el servicio debido a que no tenía identificación. Tenga en cuenta que a los 16 o 17 años tiene derecho a tomar una bebida alcohólica con su familia y una comida bajo supervisión. Se le denegó esto, que es en realidad su derecho como ciudadano británico. El gerente lo señaló al personal del bar y les dijo que no lo atendieran en absoluto. Luego, al volver al bar, el personal del bar estaba francamente negro puntiagudo ignorándolo cuando estaba allí esperando para pedir SU COMIDA. Era la segunda persona en la fila cuando llegó al bar y cada vez que una persona hacía cola detrás de él se le servía primero. Luego fue a un extremo trasero del bar al que la camarera de bar caminó hasta el otro extremo del bar para servir a otra persona. Personal despreciable con mala actitud Nunca voy a entrar en este establecimiento.

Visitamos Wendy’s antes de ver Los Miserables en el Sheffield Arena y no nos decepcionaron. Quería pedir algo que no estaba en la pantalla y el caballero del mostrador hizo nuestro pedido muy rápido y fue amable, educado y servicial. Luego trajo nuestra comida a la mesa en lugar de tener que recogerla. Otro señor, que asumimos que era el gerente, vino a preguntarnos si nuestra comida estaba bien y definitivamente lo estaba. La hamburguesa estaba muy sabrosa y tanto eso como las patatas fritas estaban calientes. Normalmente no comemos en restaurantes de comida rápida, pero solo queríamos un poco de comida caliente en una noche fría y recomendaría este restaurante Wendy’s.
