The best restaurants serving British food in England

We had some beautiful food for my dads wake the service from Julie and son and all the staff was very accommodating the food was fresh and delicious which everyone commented on we highly recommend and will be using all the time now .

Fantastic place best fish and chips I have ever eaten. All the staff are absolutely amazing especially Renee . Thank you for such an amazing evening.

Cici’s Bar is a Real hidden gem in Padstow Beautiful interior , and the seaweed crisps with the dip were out of this world!! Our server couldnt do enough for us , he was very welcoming and accomodating. Will be definitely returning A big thank you to Paul and the Team for making our visit so enjoyable ❤️

Didn't actually get to try as not welcomed. Visited around midday , just wanted a hot drink. Several empty tables. Lady not very friendly. Asked if we were going to be eating, said probably just a drink. Told would need to order something to eat and could come in if I had a piece of cake with my drink! Oh well custom taken else where.

Safe to say… recommended within 200 miles. It really doesn’t get better than this. Make sure to have extra patty and extra spicy.

Most of the food was nice but with some strangely under seasoned exceptions. Potato pancakes tasted of nothing. The service needs improvement for the price.

Outstanding food delightfully served and paired with great wines in beautiful surroundings

One of the most interesting dining experiences I have ever had. The extensive searching on the way in sets the tone and being taken through numerous locked gates. But the Roast lunch was really good, albeit the cutlery was plastic for safety reasons but the service was great. There is a specific time you leave so if you finish your meal early you just have to wait to be let out. All in all, worth a visit for the experience and the Roast!

Visited again whilst in Pickering over the Christmas break. Both food and service was excellent. Had the Belly Pork and Blade of Beef to start followed by the Venison and Chicken. Will definitely visit again.

Coffee hot chocolate and freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream just delicious. Sat outdoors and watched world go by. Lovely little cafe nice staff highly recommended

Excellent value roast beef lunch, good portion, served with excellent selection of veg and tender beef. Spoilt by the food and plates being lukewarm. Should have sent food back to be warmed up but we were very hungry,

Just the most wonderful pub. Everything is fabulous, the staff and service, the delicious food, the ambiance, everything. Run by the loveliest people who clearly have so much passion for what they do. 10/10
