Best chippy in Scunthorpe, great customer service, very fast, chips are perfect

I am extremely picky and will usually find something to criticise, but we had an absolutely perfect evening here. I had only called to book a table here at around 1pm on the day and they missed my call and then returned the call straight after. So thank you. Food came out in good timing and was faultless, very generous portions. Chocolate cake was delish. Clare was very attentive, fab service. Thank you.

Great small villages pub , lively at weekends and good atmosphere. Serving food from special guest catering at weekends also coffee, cakes and sandwiches at lunchtimes . Lovely outside areas to chill and big garden for children to run around. Games bar with pool , table skittles and board games. Live music accasionally at weekends.

Thank you for a beautiful meal . Everything tasted fresh, hot and delicious. The staff is very welcoming, incredibly friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and we can’t wait to go back

Brilliant..fish fried as you walk in.

Sorry always like to a place when I've been used to good food ordered a donner kebab wasn't as good as previous management in fact nowhere near what I was expecting ordered sausage and for partner she threw it the bin as she said it horrible just warm going to go to Haslucks fish bar in future

Lovely little bar/cafe, incredibly friendly staff and owner. Situated nicely off the main drag. Nice ambience and vibe.

I have been visiting this cafe for approx 12months. The food is brilliant never disappointed also the drinks. Staff are so friendly and helpful nothing is to much trouble. I haven’t found another coffee bar to match this one. The staff even know our order off by heart. Only one disappointment on some occasions we can’t get a table because it’s so popular. I even dreamt about breakfast here on Friday night so I had to go and have one on Saturday.

The Slip Tavern is closed and no longer .an inn so don’t bother visiting it

Our very 1st visit here & Booked in for the Burns night meal, food was absolutely spot on, total credit to the chef/kitchen staff lot of prep in the background had been done. Surroundings very disappointing, best way to describe this is your placed in a corner, & other non Dining peeps are sat over you & atmosphere was too loud, then whilst your eating half way through your meal the music is cranked up as if your in a night club. So your having a meal & cannot engage in any conversation! Spent £80 tonight in there & frankly not worth it Don't think we'll be in a hurry coming back! Shame as the waitress that looked after us was embarrassed & apologised for the noise increase. Personally they should have put restaurant seating one side of the pub!

Had an unfortunate interaction with a staff member who was argumentative and rude. Won't be coming again as I have Complex PTSD and it triggered me

What a fantastic evening my friends and I had, the drag dj was GREAT. made our evening singing dancing 💃 highly recommend stopping by..

Was staying over in kington and been here a few times now.. just the best rib eye steak and truly homemade chips. Proper log fire and full of old world charm.. have eaten at 2 other pubs in kington and this one wins hands down. Unpretentious and down to earth.
