Popped in to pick up a coffee for a drive - lots of selection - you can choose which single origin bean to have for example. Nice location by the water as well. Good quality coffee.

What a fantastic place! The staff (lead by Karen), were warm, welcoming and courteous without fault, and the atmosphere and food were brilliant. We can't rate this place highly enough. If we could've lifted this place up and brought it home to Australia, we would have. Thanks Karen, Leslie and Julie, from John and Kristy

The location, the restaurant, the staff and the food are all excellent. My partner and I had a truly wonderful Sunday lunch and each dish (cheese souffle, John Dory and blueberry pana cotta) worthy of 10 out of 10. scores. My only concern is that the 25% increase in the price may deter future customers.

I call it Debbie's place - you'll know it when you see it! - said several of the locals on Islay. A large group of us visiting the island had spent the morning dotted across it doing various different activities. I'd asked in the brilliant Islay Natural History Trust where locally we could grab lunch and was directed to the Bruichladdich Mini Market. The place itself is run by Debbie, her mum and her sister. It's the ort of place that is the lifeblood of islands the world over - half grocery shop, half cafe - all welcoming. Debbie's sister was in charge when a group of 15 of us rocked up unannounced. This would normally not have been a problem - plenty of outside seating - but that particular day the ferry had been cancelled, along with much of the stock for the shop and cafe. Undeterred the staff there made us feel welcome and pulled together a lunch which went down very well with all - children and adults alike. Think sandwiches and toasties with great coffee and a good choice of cold drinks. They also serve some amazing cakes - I'm told the rocky road was fab, I know the chocolate cake was! Although initially under pressure when we all turned up, the staff seated us happily and we had all eaten within about 15 minutes of arriving.

Had potential but was awful This was probably a great venue in its day but in need of a total revamp. Attended a wedding in November 2024. Absolutely freezing throughout the whole venue. Several complaints about this were made to staff and advised that heating didn’t go on until the evening!!!! It’s November in Scotland - seriously!!! No obvious radiators and eventually small electric heaters were brought out but nowhere near enough to make an impact Damp smell in main wedding area. Decoration throughout needs updating including the dingy carpets. Area where we had our meal was nice enough but again absolutely freezing. Wedding guests were sitting with winter coats on ! No WiFi and poor phone reception. Cleanliness is another issue. Several glasses and tumblers were filthy and some of the wines glasses on the dining table looked as though they hadn’t even been washed. This place has potential. The views from the main wedding venue are stunning and the food was ok but I was wary about eating in here due to the lack of cleanliness. The whole place is in serious need of a serious clean and revamp Dread to think what state the kitchen was in, or the bedrooms - glad we didn’t stay ! I certainly won’t be back anytime soon !!!

Loved the wee hob hut and glad we opted for this rather than camping in October. There were a couple of misunderstandings re booking regarding number of dogs/additional cost but the site was very accommodating which was appreciated. The warden we met on site was super friendly as was his wife in the cafe and the person we spoke to on the phone confirming our booking the day before. Great bacon rolls and coffee served with a smile and a chat at the Cruachan cafe. The showers and toilets were cleaned regularly and the accomodation was clean and had everything needed for a brief stay. The showers were a bit dated and really not big enough to be able to get undressed/dressed and keep everything dry and off the floor or condensated walls. Shower nice and hot though. Bigger space with a seat would be great 😀. Maybe also a couple of hanging hooks in the hob? We were a bit lost where to put wet coats.

The food was absolutely disgusting no taste what so ever and the staff where very rude the man called Bartek shows no care in his food and I felt very ill a short while after consuming the meal. If ever in Campbeltown I advise not to go here as you will be very dissatisfied with there food and the price they charge for it

The Dunvegan Bar is a small restaurant/bar on Broad Street Cowdenbeath. Its run by husband & wife team, the husband is the chef and his wife does the waitressing and helps in the bar. Its very friendly and welcoming. The food is always made fresh on order. I love the Haggis pillows for starters, followed by Chicken & haggis Pie with chips & veggies and I always manage to make room for desserts. Its well worth a visit, call and book a table, give it a try.
