TO RUN AWAY!!! terrible service. The size of the dishes is ridiculously small. It is really not cooked. Straight from the freezer or from the ready-made bag to the plate. The fish smells bad. Much too expensive for the quality offered. If you want to eat well or have a good time, go elsewhere!!! TO FLEE!!! Terrible service. The size of the dishes is ridiculously small. Food was lovely and well priced. 2 courses for the price of 1. I got soup to start which tasted homemade, a hot roll and butter which was lovely. My main was tempore haddock and chips with peas and tartare sauce which was absolutely gorgeous tbh. Well impressed. My husband had chicken strips in spicy sauce to start and a burger with skinny fries and coleslaw which he really enjoyed. My son had chicken strips and fries for his main, his dessert was brownie and ice cream - from the kids menu as he is 9. My son's dessert was forgotten about for over half an hour but he got it eventually when I reminded the server; they were busy so I can't feel too annoyed. Lovely restaurant. Would eat there again.

A fantastic wholesome establishment, where you are welcomed with genuine warmth. Would not go past it! Quality drinks and food.

We were so disappointed that this once fantastic ice cream shop has now changed to âMr Whippyâ!! No flavour selection unless you chose the tubs mentioned in the previous review. My niece chose an Oreo milkshake which was OK at best and extremely overpriced at ÂŁ6! Will not be back!

Food was okay, nothing to complain about. However, after just finishing our food we were told that they needed the table back asap as there was people who had booking that had been waiting 15 mins for our table. We had been in the restaurant for one hour at that point, so did not understand why we were being rushed out as the booking confirmation claimed we had the table for an hour and a half. Also tables that were in before us were still sitting and we had waited a while to get served/ receive our food.

Booked an afternoon tea for my wife and I and we were not disappointed. Absolutely amazing service and great food. Clear explanation of a range of teas and what was included in the package. Home made savouries and sandwiches were first class. Could not eat all the cakes and they kindly put them in a box to take home. A lovely treat. Excellent staff , service and food. You must visit this place to appreciate the hospitality and food.

Having always enjoyed meals at The Dollâs House we imagined this was a mere name change, and were drawn in by the offer of a reasonably priced set menu all day Wednesday and Thursday. Inside the decor was smart enough and the waitress pleasant. However they were unaware of the set menu offer clearly advertised outside, and then said theyâd still put our meal through at that price so long as we didnât order anything expensive ! This wasnât easy as five dishes were already sold out by 7.30, leaving little choice. The soups were ok, as was my deer, but my wifeâs ratatouille was the most ridiculous item Iâve ever seen offered as main dish- three slices of undercooked courgette, a few tomatoes swimming in a watery sauce. We skipped desserts and were presented with a bill of ÂŁ72, the manager having forgotten her promise. On appeal she applied a discount, but ÂŁ58 was still very expensive for an experience that could charitably be described as poor. Iâd steer well clear - there is no shortage of places to eat in St Andrews.

Really bad experience here. Stopped for lunch after driving three hours and the place was half empty. Regardless, when we asked for a table for two, the member of staff pretty much scoffed at us and gave us a flat ânoâ. Waving her hands around and saying they were far too short staffed and not accepting any more people. It would have been much more professional and polite to let us know it could be a bit of a wait for a table rather than laugh at us and make us feel silly for even asking. How were we to know an empty restaurant was understaffed? We felt really unwelcome and we wonât be back.

Wonderful view overlooking the Loch, warm friendly pub with twinkling lights. Nice pub type food options & the steak & pie were delicious. The bedroom was clean, comfy bed, great shower & Loch view & had a fab coffee machine. Barman friendly & made a whisky suggestion & it was delicious đ breakfast was plentiful & sets you up for the day. If I was being picky I would say fresh fruit & a cappuccino instead of filter coffee but this would not stop us returning & we will definitely return.
