The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Grew up here in the 1990s, and was the family favourite. Decades later me and my brother frequent here when we get together and still the best. Just not local to us. But the curry is by far outstanding amazing flavour tasty delicious as is the other foods, chowmein, sides etc. Bit oily but can tell they make thier own sauce, very nice, just like we remember it and have had a few times over the past few years. Best by far by miles. My brother comes from down south always looking forward to a New City as do I.

In and out..service fine..food OK but not ordering the soft noodles anymore as there not that good but rest was fine

Really quick service, diah tailored to my taste (no onions), very friendly and polite service. Food was hot, tasty, not greasy and very filling. Definitely recommend and will return. Kumg po chicken was really good.

Was quite nice but chicken was pink in the sweet and sour chicken balls so wouldn't get again..

Amazing food and a beautiful atmosphere! If you are going to eat in Kew Gardens! This is a must! I also must recommend the noodles they serve on the weekend from 12-5 every Saturday and Sunday!! What amazing food especially the Chicken Katsu!!! Will make sure to come back soon 🙏

Best Chinese Take-away around, friendly staff and delicious food

Kept repeating details as was too focused on listening to people in the shop. Took far too long to order

Golden city was an Absolutely cracking Chinese. Not a single thing we ordered disappointed and the staff are friendly and welcoming I would highly recommend Golden city as i belive its the best in and around crawley.

I called because I was unhappy that there was no meat in the shredded beef, it was just coating. I was laughed at, shouted at, went on a rant about to me about how he’s been cooking since the 70s. I was nothing but polite and respectful so I didn’t deserve that at all. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Especially food was flavorless anyway.

The food was very good. We had the 3 roast with rice. The portions were generous and My husband said it was the best roast meats he'd had, even better than Chinatown in London. Prices were very reasonable. This is the second time we've eaten there. The first time the cutlery and the cups for tea felt a bit greasy, needed to sanitize them. It's the chinese equivalent of a greasy spoon cafe.

Fresh and tasty food, great service, it was ready to collect for the time we asked for.
