The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Oh what a Chinese this is. If you know Golden City you will already know what an amazing Chinese it is, but if you’ve not come across it before, don’t look any further. I have been coming here for around 13 years and my wife and her family have been coming here for around 30 years. In that time we have never had a bad meal. Honestly everything on the menu is fantastic, I haven’t tried everything but a good handful of dishes and most starters. I strongly recommend the salt and pepper chicken or prawns, chicken in black beans and the sweet and sour chicken. The prices have gone up over the years which is understandable but absolutely worth it for the portion sizes you get and the quality of the food. Thank you Golden City.

We had a delicious Chinese takeaway from Wing Cheung House this evening, the best chinese that we've had in a long time. It was convenient to pay by card, unlike some other establishments. However, the prices are a little higher than average, and a minimum order of £40 is required for complimentary prawn crackers, which are often offered free at other places for smaller orders but I had to argue for due to my order being £37. Therefore, we've deducted one star for that & cost.

Well presented takeaway, good food, quickly presented

Had to wait an hour for food for it to get here freezing cold chips were dry as anything . Also forgot half my order and wouldn’t replace the chips wanted me to wait an extra half hour for fresh food so I asked for my money back in return will never go back to this place also the curry did not taste like curry it was thick and lumpy as anything , whoever was on the phone was rather rude as well .

Enjoy the food, always reliable, family owned and friendly. Now provides bank transfer as it does not take cards. Great takeaway on Friday.

In the summer I ordered my usual which is king prawn fried rice.i noticed then that the prawns were like rubber which made them inedible.i should of got back to the take away and told them something wasn't right about the prawns.instead I chose to give them the benefit of doubt.i took a chance and ordered again last night.again I could see something about the prawns wasn't right when I ate it. It was though it wouldn't go down.it was horrible! I also noticed little black bits in the food although it was supposed to be king prawns it wasn't it was small prawns with the odd large one thrown in.I will never order from there again!

Prices are good food is even better.

Food here is great highly recomend the chips and salt n pepper chips don't know what you do to them but they are good 😋 great service lost a star due to customers being rude in the shop

First time trying here, safe to say we enjoyed the food! Lovely staff and place, I love that you can see the kitchen and watch them make the food in progress.
