Our new favourite takeaway since moving to Blythe Bridge. From burgers to pizzas and the most amazing curries, we haven’t been disappointed yet. Tonight we were sent a lamb tikka balti instead of a lamb tikka masala by mistake (New Year’s Eve so understandably busy) but they sent a fresh one out within 10 minutes, which arrived still piping hot! Excellent service, excellent food and excellent value for money. One of the nicest curries we’ve ever had! 5*

We had a lovely meal, couldn't really fault it except they forgot to bring the prawn crackers which we had to ask for. However there is no disabled ramp at the front entrance of the building and no disabled toilet for my husband to use. The only cubicle available was just in the men's toilet and didn't have any room in it for a non disabled person, and no grab rolls for safety. There was no disabled toilet which I believe us a legal requirement especially for a place that says it can cater for 200.

The firest food going. I travel 40 minutes to get here, the food and service is insane, especially the lovely lady at the counter. She always makes my day and she’s honestly the sweetest soul. You’re the best!👊🏼 The managers really nice too and he’s always so accommodating, the food is always on point and fresh! I’ve been coming for a couples of years now and it is still the best quality and always remains consistent!

I have eaten Chinese food in many different cities, and this is the only restaurant that charges for takeout. Secondly, I ordered two portions of egg fried rice and only got one bowl, saying that was all. It can be said that all the clerks are very awesome. It was really a very bad experience in Nottingham and I will definitely not go there again! Bad review, bad review!

I’m really disappointed I am giving this restaurant 1 star because I had high hopes for this place, nice rural location which could be a really lovely restaurant. We have been here twice (hoping we would have a better experience on the second time) for the ‘all you can eat’ menu. On both occasions we felt extremely uncomfortable, the male manager asked my children for ID incase they needed to pay for an adult meal (my children are 5 & 8!) and then when we ordered they told us to stop ordering because we won’t eat it! And then whilst we were eating we had 3 staff members watching us the entire time! Male manager very rude with no personality. Such a shame but we won’t be returning.

Customers be aware!! We have frequented the Royal Garden on numerous occasions over the past years on Family trips to Berwick on Tweed and up to our last visit in November 2024 found it a reasonable all round facility food and service wise. My partner and I have a routine when eating out in both Indian and Chinese Restaurants where, if we order a starter course and Main course with side dishes we chose to take the resulting over burden of food home with us for a future meal. When however we asked the waitress for this facility she informed us that a 60 pence PER CARTON charge is made for the plastic take away trays which I found totally unbelievable and certainly unacceptable. I explained my dis- satisfaction which resulted in me calling for the Manager who was also the cook. He became very aggressive as he felt totally justified with this principal. I said that I cannot believe his logic particularly as in Take Away customers get their Cartons Free of Charge, yet people sitting in the Restaurant purchasing numerous courses and side dishes as well as drinks from the Bar are expected to pay a surcharge. I furthermore pointed this out to him and he responded with a comment which was beyond belief he said "We have to wash your dishes if you sit in the restaurant whereas with take away customers we do not". I pointed out that we frequent the Restaurant several times a year on our visits to Berwick often with a number of friends and asked if he was prepared to lose that future trade over 60p. In my opinion the Manager had tunnel vision and in the light of the meal, without prejudice being the poorest ever we told him to take back the food we ordered and we left empty handed. Result - We will never frequent the place again, I will recommend all my colleagues in the area against going there because of the food which I would give 3 out on 10 at best but more so the principal of this experience. This man has shot himself in the foot big style but appeared so out of tune with logic would not be able to see it. Times are hard and money is scarce, this ,and a bad attitude with poor food quality will lead to their demise in the long term.
