Stuck in Battle for work on a Monday evening. Having been inflicted with appalling chips from another local establishment recently I made a point of trying Taylor's. Very pleasantly surprised. Large cod and medium chips was £12.50 as of December '24 which is comparable to mcgits and others. Quality excellent, portion size enough to quiet the tummy gremlins for several hours. Made request for forks and a napkin on my collection order note via their website that they provided without needing to be reminded. Order was ready two minutes after I walked in to collect it. Very happy with the service.

So pleased with the quality of the fish and chips here! Chips tasty and cooked well,,, batter not too thick, fish very tasty, mushy peas perfect! Just wanted to let the new owners know they are doing a fantastic job! 🤗

This chip show has gone downhill big time! Has it been taken over? We purchased cod, plaice and a portion of chips on Friday 18/10/2024. Sure it was not cod! Full of oil of some sort, more batter than fish, plaice look good value for money until you tried to cut into it, you needed a carving knife to get through batter then you had to hunt for the fish! Chips hardly edible so most went into the bin. Then spent the weekend feeling ill, up half the night with stomach pains etc.

Do not answer the phone, been ringing for at least 15 minutes, they just don't pick up, i needed yo tell them they forgot to put in the tiffins that i paid for

Food had a strange taste even the curry sauce tasted zesty. The chips were anaemic disappointing

Fantastic chips, ended up getting the haggis with it. Next time I'm in lake district I'll have the try the fish too.

Very odd! Saw their massive sign 'WE ARE OPEN' - they were SHUT!!

Last time here I oderder a large kebab. The guy who's pretty miserable and not friendly gave me half the meat that comes with a large! Will not spend my money here again! Customer lost!
