Canât understand how this place has 4.9 stars. Reading the reviews and something doesnât seem right with them. Guy behind counter was so engrossed in his phone he didnât even know weâd walked in and were stood for two mins staring at him. Burger was basic with no toppings just cheese and âsmash sauceâ which was an incredibly peppery steak type sauce but way too peppery. Chips were ok. The meal deal pictures all show an irn bru as the drink but we were given Pepsi max. Asked for an irn bru and was made out we were being done a favour for giving us it as it normally comes with Pepsi âbecause itâs cheaperâ.

I have visited the Starbucks in the Sydney Jones Library on many occasions. I have always found it to be pretty good. The staff are absolutely fantastic here - always very friendly and queueing never takes too long, so full marks to the whole team! Considering this is a University franchise of Starbucks, the selection of drinks is pretty extensive and very reasonably priced, for example a small tea is ÂŁ1.60, which is pretty cheap. The selection of snacks isn't quite so good, but I think what is offered is perfectly sufficient. In my experience, this place is clean and tidy and is a nice place to set your laptop up and study, albeit please note that on some days, it shuts at 3pm, which I think is unnecessarily early. However, one thing which puzzled me is why they are continuing to social distance tables. Well after the 1m rule was axed on 19th July, this place has had less tables than normally, all a million miles away from each other which I thought was very strange, considering this place's surface area is small anyway. In my opinion, they're really shooting themselves in the foot by doing this as you are actively deterring custom! Having said that, I have a feeling that this is a University management decision, not a decision taken by the staff here. Also, this place does not accept cash whatsoever, in some weird bid to make the University campus 'cashless' and 'safer'. In terms of how disallowing people to pay cash in a coffee shop makes campus a 'safer place', your guess is as good as mine! Overall, it's a pretty decent coffee shop. I like to think that they've axed their ludicrous distancing measures by now, but if they haven't, note that you may struggle to find an empty table!

What can I say. Arrived in Honiton a town i know well, but not my town of residence. On a cold January evening, just gone 6pm. Decided for ease, Fish & Chips would do. Entered their establishment, 3 screened counters, 2 staff & one customer. Ordered immediately to stand outside, as only one person allowed on at a time. Paid 10.50 for Fish, Chips & Sauce. The young girl served me, who was pleasant, while the own slumped over the till deep into her phone. Rude! They were over cooked, rubbery, had a strange taste as if the fat was old. Could not finish them, had to throw them away. For a proprietor who owns there own business, she had zero customer respect. Which is why they own & always will do, a sleazy chip shop on a sleazy street in a small town. Not a place to visit or even give them the grace of your hard earned money.
