The best restaurants serving French food in Lambeth London

Los tacos franceses son lo mejor que le ha pasado a la escena de la comida rápida de Londres en mucho tiempo. Estos están absolutamente llenos de relleno y salsa. Me encanta la variación de cosas que se puede obtener y gran relación calidad-precio.

Finally - a grilled cheese in London! Food was amazing - has to be one of the best grilled cheese ive had. Truffle mushroom, Korean wings and kimchi pancake was sublime.

Parissi is my favourite spot in Brixton. No it's not the cheapest but *everything* is home made and top quality. The cakes and pastries, the lunchtime frittata and the salads are all amazing. Spiros the owner is always there, he works hard and he really cares even if he's not always the friendliest! The staff are lovely and it's just the best place to catch up with friends or linger with coffee and a book. It's cosy inside, with more tables out back in the hidden garden. A really special place.

Personal completamente poco profesional! Fui a la tienda a comprar algunas plantas y algunos productos y no había precio en nada. Pasé mucho tiempo en la tienda tratando de encontrar los precios y nadie vino a hablar conmigo para ayudarme. El dueño estaba detrás de la caja comiendo. Cuando le dije que no estaba satisfecha con su servicio, salió de la tienda detrás de mí gritándome diciendo que quería un servicio de reina y llamándome narcisista. Me puso un dedo encima diciendo que había estado allí durante 6 años y que tenía muchos clientes satisfechos, honestamente, le tenía miedo. Realmente no sé cómo esta tienda/restaurante sigue abierta.

We visited La Mere on a Wednesday evening and had a wonderful time. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the selective menu has all of the French classics you'd hope for. The food and wine menu are both great value for money.

the food was alright, not as nice as when we visited the restaurant - and fortunately I like Tarka Dahl as I received this with my Biriyani rice instead of a Biriyani curry. didn’t work as well though.

In one of the absolutely most expensive towns in the world, the Cote Brasserie chain has managed to roll out a hard to beat price/performance concept that holds. "Chain food" is usually nothing much quality wise. Not so here. Ingredients are just fine and there is a genuine core of French brasserie at Cote - for real. Many dishes are classics you would find in any descent bistro in France; onion soup, tartare, steak frites, moules marinières, chocolat fondant, crème brulée etc, etc. Of course some compositions are a bit British tweaked: the ever so constantly present peas must be on the plate in one form or another... hard to leave out obviously. In any case, at this visit I experienced one of the best Steak Frites I've ever had. Big surprise. This simple dish can be so good if the meat is truly tender (which it tends to never be, especially not in France) with a clear grilled flavour and the frites are super freshly and perfectly fried. And so it was at Cote! A steal at 17 GBP! There is also a three (or two) course prix fixe menu for 22 GBP containing the above Steak Frites as a choice. Even more a steal. A satisfactory wine list with a lot of French wines at affordable prices. At our visit we could also experience a temporary offer with a free welcome drink. A nice gesture! All in all Cote delivers what they say they do. That is French bistro food at high quality at affordable cost. Recommended!

Gran sensación parisina en este pequeño lugar. El desayuno vegetariano era excelente - sabroso y bien hecho. El personal me recibió con una sonrisa y el servicio fue muy bueno. ¡Volveré!

We stopped here on a whim to pick up some bread for dinner. (Bread and butter and a glass of wine being a favorite supper for hungry travelers when we are tired of going out to dinner.) Being indecisive, we bought a half loaf of both the white sourdough and the whole wheat sourdough. Both were amazing loaves! Turns out, that according to Eater London, this is one of London’s best bakeries. They serve coffee from a window and while I didn’t order any, it’s probably pretty great too.

Avoid!!! I went after many years to this place with a group of friends to dance and listen to Latin music, when I arrived it is £10 the entrance was fine but when I went to the bar to buy my drink they charged me for the service charge every time I bought a drink!!!! How can it be possible for them to do that!! I understand that if they are serving you at the table, but in the BAR where many only enter to have a drink it is a ROBBERY

Tuvimos un grupo de 20 + que quería celebrar y este lugar era perfecto! ambiente encantador, personal amable, lo pasamos muy bien!

Just heard this place will be closing down thankfully. Very unclean food not great.. Service slow... Think the staff are on drugs..really badly run establishment. Shame as it in a nice area. Hopefully new owner makes well with this old unique place!
