Went here for dinner. My husband had the French onion soup (which he had had on a previous occasion) and said it was not as good as the first time he had ordered it. I just had a steak & onion baguette which was pretty average. Service was okay but no-one checked to see if everything was okay with our meals.

This family run french patisserie has been making our birthday cakes for the last three years, and they make exceedingly good cakes, that look and taste fantastic and at a reasonable price, and with great service and professionalism. It is a pleasure to do business with them and i would happily recommend them. 😀

The menu may not look exciting, but the service is superb, and the quiche, calamari, toasties are all truly excllent, served with a wonderful salad with watercress, courgette silices, tomato and avocado. The pâtisserie is worth driving hours for, I have rarely encountered such fine lemon tarts, just bitter enough, but with citron written on the top in dark chocolate to enhance the lemon. There are many lunch options in Southwell, but this is memorable.

Have visited multiple times over the last few years. (Scared wasp lady) Last year we visited Looe just to come to this place. The owner is fantastic and always makes you feel welcome. One holiday we visited everyday for the crepes and affogato (served the Japanese way). I’ve just seen that this place has now closed and we’re deeply saddened. I hope the owner is well and is doing bigger and better things. Thankyou for the crepes and coffee ❤️.

Fantastic food always have a takeaway Delivered with speed and food is always hot We always use this Indian when we stay at near by Westwood lakes it get delivered right to our cabin door. Its a good job we aren’t local we would be eating this food everyday lol 😂 Delivery guy is such a lovely man very pleasant and friendly

We were very lucky to be part of the Chapel Down Shareholders private dinner last evening held at Caractere. Both the wine and the food were awesome. I have to say that the cuisine was expertly prepared and the overall ambiance of the location, as well as the excellent service provided by the staff, was wonderful. A truly great pleasure to attend there.

Lovely Ambience and surprisingly impressive & smart set up.( The restaurant even has Guiness on draft - that's a win win for me in particular. However the food experience was a total disaster ( Sunday lunch ) everything was completely over salted ( never had a Sunday roast dinner anywhere quite like this ) The Beef was tender, and the dish well presented ,so incredibly disappointed. The starters arrived hot on top & cold on the bottom ( they were quickly replaced , so I suppose that's a good thing ), however this also was incredibly over salted . Guess you have to find a way to increase wet sales !! Hi Expectations, incredibly poor quality ( what a shame )

Nos adentramos en el Ivy sin saber nada sobre él, pero parecía atractivo desde el exterior y hacía frío y lluvia y un clima horrible - día sabio. Qué gratamente sorprendidos estábamos. Parecía mocoso y congestionado, pero no lo era. Hermoso ambiente y la comida era deliciosa. Mi amigo tenía el Menú 1917 de entrada y principal: Salmón Rillette con aguacate, ensalada y pan de centeno y principal de Pastel de Pastores. Comí un entrante de vieiras asadas con crema de espinacas y bocanadas de patata. El costo: no más de lo que habría pagado en un café del barrio. ¡Y el baño de damas de color rosa es hermoso!

Another enjoyable visit, Value for money, and tasty food.

We ordered two mains and two desserts from the online menu for our Sunday lunch. The food was glorious in quality and quantity and was presented in sensible cardboard boxes.

This little French restaurant is becoming one of my favourites. I have now been several times and the food is consistently very good. The service is quick and very attentive and the pace is very relaxing. I do think it is nicer for lunch as at night it is full and quite noisy.

I'm a long standing Customer, eating in or out, today it was coffee and fries outside with my little dog, driven to leave by 2 people vaping, clouds of the most obnoxious smell. It was awful, the cafe needs a no vaping/smoking policy outside too. I did mention to a staff member but!

Du jamais vu, une restauration de très mauvaise qualité, un chef qui se prend pour ce qu´il n´est pas.. La raclette de très mauvaise qualité, une charcuterie très moyenne.. Je vous deconseille completement.

Had an amazing Bottomless Brunch at Jolie Chelsea. Received excellent service from Cat, delicious drinks from Joshua, what might be one of the best burgers I’ve had from the chef and the DJ was spinning some tunes. Mrs and Ii had a wonderful time, we’ll defo be coming back ☺️
