The best restaurants serving French food in England

First come last served, unless you’re a regular and you get your drinks before anyone else didn’t even have to order was brought to straight to their table. Not how a restaurant should be ran, first come first served that’s how it’s meant to work.

This jewel in the crown is probably one of the best cafes that I have ever eaten in. The food was excellent, the staff welcoming and professional, coupled with a great atmosphere. Would I recommend- yes Will I visit again - yes Thank you

Such a shame they’ve closed So glad we had the chance to stay at this magical place run by a lovely couple & a slightly arthritic golden retriever. Best full English I’ve had & magnificent dinner. If you see this by some chance, you may be gone but aren’t forgotten. Simon Rhodes

Visited here at Lunchtime and had the Full English with Coffee, The Food was nice and well cooked as was the other meal we ordered. Good value for money with two Breakfasts with Coffee coming to £20. The Venue also has a great selection of Cakes, a lovely French Cafe with table service and a nice setting

Very posh venue, visited for a party and the set up was lovely and very modern and the food was very good and the atmosphere was amazing. Staff were helpful too

We absolutely love The French Oven. Huge fresh selection to choose from and amazing customer service every time. Cup cakes for Mother’s Day went down a treat with the whole family and we’ve recently been to a birthday party they catered for and the food was outstanding, everyone commented on how good it was. Definitely worth a visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Definitely a place you wish to stop by for a nice meal and a nice atmosphere. The owners are lovely and very passionate about it. Food absolutely superb

We had a lovely morning breakfast in this relaxed French-style café. The service was great and we’ll definitely be going back.

What a fantastic experience! We stopped by on Saturday morning for some smoothies, but the place was so busy that we decided to take them to go. The next day, we came back for breakfast, and I enjoyed a generous serving of homemade granola and yogurt, which was absolutely delicious—much more than the usual tiny bowl! My partner opted for eggs Benedict and was thrilled with his choice. The coffee was excellent as well, and everything was served with a friendly smile. This is definitely a spot you should check out!

Love this little gem of a Café! Alex the owner is always welcoming and the food and drinks are absolutely brilliant! The team & surroundings are charming and yes its small but it is a Café so how it should be. Food always cooked fresh and great value for money. Wonderful place and always returning when we can.

This restaurant has a great interior and the atmosphere is good, however the food was just normal, nothing great I am sorry I was expecting more for the beauty of the place.

Delicious food at Fethr tonight. Shared between 3 of us and such a feast - Patatas bravas, chicken chocolate-mole, cheese and onion quesadillas, beef tacos and fish tacos, corn salad. All this food, incl wine came to £35 each. And what a beautiful venue. Portions are huge, and staff are so lovely and helpful. The ladies loos are so posh too!!
