The best restaurants serving Indian food in South West

Had a takeaway, keema rice was lacking mince lamb and spices 👎, Bombay baloo, boiled potatoes with sauce, very little spice. Will not try this place again 👎

We live in Cheddar and always bring family and friends for meals here, it’s consistently good! Food is authentic, atmosphere is lovely and the staff are always so friendly, smiley and attentive.

One of the worst takeaways Ordered last night for three of us, 3 average meals with rice, expected delivery 1 hour, fair enough, Saturday night happy to wait.....after 2 hours rang for an update, told was just going in car now for delivery, 30mins later arrived......stone cold, warmed in microwave but just spoiled. £70 worth of food wasted

Having walked out of the Mumbai Kitchen, headed here for a very decent couple of popadoms, chutneys, a chicken biryani and a naan. Couple of pints of Cobra. All very pleasant. What’s not to like?

Good food, good service. Especially the Kashmiri (extra hot version). Still great service and friendly atmosphere.

Really wonderful little place hidden in a little village. Probably why we haven't been sooner. Plentiful portions and the best naan bread we've had out. Thank-you for a lovely meal , Susan and family

Best Indian I’ve had in a long time having dined at many different restaurants. Ambience lovely, music was the right volume and tempo, 4 different dishes and they were all great as was the service. We’ll certainly go back. Well done!

Awful food. Chicken in my jalfrezi was dry and had a nasty roasted aftertaste that couldn’t be disguised in the bland sauce. Really disappointed with our experience as this place was recommended by the hotel.

Food was good, wine was terrible. Charging £26 for wine that you can purchase in B&M for a £5. Service was good although it took quite a long time before we ordered, but when we did everything was as you would expect.

After exploring Falmouth for most of the day … we searched for an Indian restaurant on Trip Advisor & booked Shanaz for 5:30 pm It is a lovely restaurant … the welcome was great & the staff were very helpful. It was probably the best Chicken Tikka Balti I have had !! It was a bit expensive @ £45 for 2 curries … 1 rice … 1 Naan Bread & 1 Leminade … but worth every penny

The fact Hassans isn’t #1 is incredible. The food and service there was impeccable and nothing too much trouble. If you aren’t close to Moreton then a trip is 100% worth it. Both a fantastic menu and a good selection of drinks, it’s the perfect place for a date night or for a big meal out. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable, we will be back!

Another great meal in the Mela. Food was fantastic, service slick and unobtrusive. Without doubt, the best in Swindon.

We were regular customers at the Toran before it changed its name and live locally. We popped in early on a Friday evening to order a takeaway and despite there being no one in the restaurant at all, we were told it would be 30 mins. As we live locally, we popped home and then returned half an hour later to pick up our food. It wasn’t ready, so we waited another 15 minutes or so. No problem at this stage until we discovered that our takeaway had been given to another customer who had taken it home! The front of house staff member was completely ineffective and tried unsuccessfully to contact the other customer to bring our food back. He then ignored us for about 10 minutes while looking for yet another customers order. At this stage, we asked for our food to be recooked, to be told it would be another half an hour wait. By this time, we had had enough and we asked for a refund but were told it could only be refunded to the card that paid for it - this was now at home! Another of our party drove back out to the restaurant with the card for the refund, to arrive and be told that they had recooked our order. It was blatantly obvious that our original order had been returned and had been reheated. Eventually, we were given a refund but in cash this time, and from the wallet of the front of house member of staff as he couldn’t work the card machine. We rang another takeaway as we left the stone burner, drove to Warminster and it was ready when we arrived and cost significantly less! I am afraid that the stone burner has lost a local customer. Poor service.
