The best restaurants serving Indian food in Ladywood Birmingham West Midlands

We went for some food and a drink, but unfortunately it was fully booked so we stayed for a drink. The atmosphere was buzzing and the food looked and smelled amazing. Hopefully we will be able to get a table next time. EDIT: Food is brilliant, and extremely good value for money.

Very good service, place was clean and the atmosphere was great. Food was very nice as well. The place was also mostly quiet We have decided to rate this place/establishment five stars out of five on tripadvisor.

Quite empty but food and service very good

Fantastic service and tasty food. We were welcomed immediately by the staff and food came surprisingly quickly. The restaurant was packed but still food came fast. I We were served by a waiter called Shahid who was excellent and really kind. Not just Shahid but everyone else was exceptionally amazing. We were sitting near the front and couldn’t see the entire building, but i’m sure it would have been great. At the start we looked at the menu and prices and I had a mini heart attack. 90% of food was over £10. We decided to stay and eat but when he took a bite of our food, we could tell why it was so expensive. I really recommend Asha’s fine dining.

Excellent food and service with Prajna and Behnaz. We had sharing platter for start and chicken methi and Dehli Korma for mains with coffee to finish. Fabulous. 5 star

So, so good. Proper vegetarian foodie experience - so many amazing flavours. I think my favourite was the chat bombs. The description didn't do them justice - the shells are so thin they almost melt in your mouth. Don't try to bite into it or it'll go everywhere - the best thing is to put the whole thing in your mouth for the delightful 'flavour bomb' experience that they are aptly named for. We also had the puri, tamarind treacle fries, roti and temple dhal, and they were all astonishingly unique in flavour and texture. The recipes have been devised and prepared by people who really know what they're doing. To finish we had the coconut and mango ice-cream cones, and they did not disappoint. This glorious dining experience was all set in a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and fun decor and lighting that gave things an enchanting fairytale feel. For the quality and the central location it was surprisingly affordable too. I will definitely be back.

Just had a great meal at Celebrity Indian restaurant. Warmly greeted by staff and given a table with a great view of Broad St. Food was amazing and tasty. Great service by friendly staff. Will definitely be back. Go and try it make your own mind up...you will not be disappointed.

4 de nosotros cenamos aquí un sábado por la noche y tuvimos una noche encantadora. Bonita vista del canal por la noche. MJ era nuestro camarero y él era muy servicial y tenía un gran sentido del humor. No teníamos prisa por pedir ya que estábamos chit charlando y MJ fue paciente en tomar nuestro pedido. Me había decidido por los peces de la calle que más tarde me dijeron que no tenían. Ojalá hubiera tenido esa información cuando nos sentamos, ya que me tomó años encontrar algo más que quería. Fui por el especial que tenía gambas, pollo y cordero. La salsa era sosa y no sabía mucho desafortunadamente. Lo mismo con el arroz frito con huevo. Mi peshwari naan era muy grande y no pude terminarlo. 3 de nosotros pedimos los mismos naans y todos vinieron en 1 plato, pero el coco se estaba cayendo de ellos como 2 se rompieron. Probé el korma de mi hermana que era encantador - debería haber ido por eso. Fue una noche encantadora y aunque la comida en sí fue un poco decepcionante, ya que me encanta la comida india, nuestro camarero era un tipo muy genial y nos mantuvo entretenidos. Además no nos sentimos apresurados, incluso después de nuestra comida pudimos sentarnos y charlar con la mesa de al lado durante un rato. I have been going to this restaurant for about 25yrs. Staff always friendly, food always tasty. Recommended.

La mayoría de los platos son normales, como suele suceder con la comida del sur de la India, ocasionalmente algunos elementos del menú funcionan bien. Más bien golpear y perder.
