The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

What has happened to Wadud's?? We went last night with a group of friends and were the only customers there. The food was terrible, even the poppadoms were soft...not a good start. Thai dumplings - all watery and open. Thai Jasmin rice - am sure was just basmati, Scallops in Tamarind Sauce , I think was hoisin sauce.... In truth, everyone on our table was disappointed with their meal and ate some of it, but only because they were hungry, certainly not because it was nice!! Service was slow, took ages to clear plates between courses.... Ordered wine, it was ok but NOT what was on the drinks menu....serving £6 supermarket wine rather than what was advertised, really poor form. Gutted to write this review as we used to really love this place - just think other people should know.

La comida increíble, el personal realmente encantador y el restaurante inmaculado con buenas vibraciones, no es su casa de curry habitual, se sentía realmente moderno y nuevo!

So much fabulous looking food to choose from you are truly spoilt for choice, freshly cooked, it is our go to place with excellent service from whoever is behind the counter.

I’ve known Tony for many years, Good kind hearted straight up Man, The quality of food has always been on point, i’ve read the reviews am astonished with some, it can only be from competition, or sad deluded people, genuinely been going their for 25 plus years, the lads their are great food has always been good!! I suggest you try it for your self💯

Just amazing 10/10 food and 10/10 service, they are so kind there and I would always recommend going there, personally I’m gonna go there so the time😂😂

Another visit whilst visiting family in the area. If only we lived closer we’d be here as often as we could. The food is just incredible, there is a really varied menu to suit all tastes and the range of more traditional dishes alongside a fantastic range of speciality dishes makes it hard to choose! Whether you choose traditional or speciality the quality is the best. My Vegetable Dhansak was superb and my husband’s Himalayan Special Chicken was too. Starters were just as good, they make the best Chana chat puri I’ve ever had and this is always my choice when here. My husband opted for the Chicken bhutuwa which was superb. The Himalayan is the best in the area for both eating in and take away food. Staff are always lovely, really welcoming and friendly and service is brilliant. Can’t wait until our next visit.

Just had a Saturday treat night takeaway, arrived to a lovely clean tidy restaurant welcomed by really friendly staff, our meal was ready within 10 minutes of arriving having been given a time of collection, honestly can’t fault the service, got home and the meal was amazing, we honestly can’t fault a single thing, it was wrapped to keep it warm and there was plenty of food and value for money, 10 out of 10 I would definitely recommend this restaurant for either eat in or a cheeky take away, well done guys and thank you very much

1st time ordering. Butterfly terrible wouldn't order again. Onion baghi greasy popodum not crunchy soft. Everything else was OK. People on the quite rude. Not the bespoke customer service.

First time ordering takeaway from Maharaja and the food was amazing ....asked for extra garlic on everything which they absolutely delivered on...massive onion bahjees and definatly recommend king prawn starter...oh my....going back for seconds now!

Food was delicious and looked amazing. But for me, going to a restaurant is all about the experience. And my days, they were flipping brilliant. Amazing hospitality, incredible welcome from the beginning, attentive, generous and a sparkle of humour thrown in! They were great and definitely will be going back.

Gone right downhill. Its just average takeaway food. Madras and buna ssuce just watery and bland. Small amounts of meats king prawns are not king. Pickle tray poor and nan dry Quite expensive 2 pop pickle tray 2 meals £41 God whats happened to the place

Encontré este restaurante en TA y le di una oportunidad, no había vuelto a reservar una mesa, pero no hay problema alrededor de las 7 pm del viernes por la noche. Conseguí un puré de langostino rey comenzado, que era genial seguido de main main con arroz y ajo naan La comida era increíble y recomendaría encarecidamente, el servicio era bueno recomendando mi plato principal
