The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Absolutely outstanding service from the moment we entered. Had not booked but was instantly welcomed. Food was first class, best Indian I have enjoyed for years and I’m very fussy.

Krishna jossiya bheeban and surdasun. I had a very nice stay at the Taj Clubhouse and the staff were very accommodating.

Lovely food. Chilli paneer, veg manchurian, momos, Tarka daal, mushroom rice. Good service. Thank you very much. Will be back again. See you next time.

The best Indian food that I have experienced in my 18 years in Yorkshire. The Chicken Naga is the best dish I have ever had and the varki was beautiful too Everything was so flavourful and fresh. My new go to takeaway. Thank you guys 👌 Terry.

Me and my family had a takeaway with a couple of different curries and starter platters. Beautiful food - my chicken rogan josh was one of the best curries I’ve had in a very long time! Can’t recommend enough!

Been coming here for getting on 3 years. It used to be immense. Has changed ownership now and the quality of the food and service has severely deteriorated and price gone up significantly. Just ordered our usual order which includes honey chilli chips to be charged for honey chilli chicken. Queried and was told the order had been repeated back, not true, my wife is vegetarian and would never order this. Explained we had been coming here for 3 years or so but was basically told hard luck and re charged for an additional chilli chips. I will be giving my custom to the red lion from now on. Avoid!

It was a delivery ordered on line but waited 1 hour 45 mins for even though it's at the end of my road then the order was wrong I didn't complain as it took so long we were hungry.

The food was amazing, more vegan choices might be good but overall very good experience. Recommend the feast and the bread stuffed with cheese, very good.

We went here as a family both last week and the week before. The sizzling platter starters were delicious and the meat on them was juicy and freshly cooked. All the starters we had were delicious and served with a fresh side salad. There was a good selection of dishes to choose from on the menu. The speciality curries we chose were very tasty. We would highly recommend the Chicken Sulthaney and the Garlic Chilli Chicken, two dishes that were new to us but we all loved the taste of. The service was excellent, friendly and not rushed. Everywhere was clean and tidy.

Loved the atmosphere in this little village pub so relaxing .Great beer and food to just the job for a nice evening out before travelling next day

Not sure why Trip Advisor still claiming this is the top Indian eatery in Tadcaster. It was closed when we went out of our way to visit and there was no sign of it re-opening

Really nice food and service. Really enjoyed it. We loved the freshness of the food and also the wide choice. Staying in the area for the first time for a few days and this was our first meal out here. Not disappointed. Chap serving was really excellent too.

So delicious, although our order was wrong it was super yummy!! We got a take out and it was such good value. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was super helpful. I missed my king prawns though. It would of been a five xx

A large group of friends went to the Cumin Cottage and had a wonderful evening with great food that all came to the table at the same time

Ordered and paid for a £35 delivery. It never arrived. Don’t book here as there’s clearly a fraud element to this business
