The place was like an ice box.!.no heating on.! We got given a plug in fan heater.!..haha The food was very average in my opinion and not overly flavourful.i got given flat coca-cola out of a large bottle before i told them i wasnt happy with it and it got exchanged for a glass bottle.why not just give the glass bottle to start.?!...i just the felt the whole experience was a deflating one to say the least.!.probably wont return.!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful evening at Masala Bowl yesterday. The food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend the Goan prawn curry. It was authentic, spicy and full of flavour. The biriyani was amazing and a very generous portion. We loved the decor and thought the service was second to none. We'll definitely be returning!

We try Indian restaurants across the country on our travels, so know a good one when we try it out…. don’t be deceived by appearances, the decor is dated with this one, however, the food here is very well cooked, fresh & good balance of flavour, (not just three levels of hot and three shades of brown or brilliant red that you get in some) the service is attentive and not over bearing… altogether a good find in Ipswich, parking is a very short walk from the NCP car park almost opposite. So recommend if you are looking for a relatively decent curry when visiting the area

I got mix tandoori which was the best, the food arrive hot even in this blew zero outdoor, the meat is tender and juicy , spicy enough for my taste and the salad wasn’t much to take about but did work with the food and add to the flavours but the mint yoghurt did the magic required with such tandoori, careful your finger tip will look red from the food , don’t eat your fingers. Naan bread is fresh, hot and really tasty. Lamb biriyani was so delicious, and the vegetable curry is the right amount to feel the taste, full of mushroom and I love mushroom. I recommend this takeaway restaurant to every one great value for your money, amazing taste of Indian food, good portion size. If you have halal or vegetarian diet you will find something to suit you , parking off street available.

Ordered a takeaway- haven't been to Zulaika for a few years so thought I'd give a go as it's local to me. I thought I'd try the garlic chicken as I tried this at an Indian restaurant in Failsworth on xmas eve and had a craving ever since, i not to be dramatic but what a disappointment, the chicken was dry and had a weird smell it was nothing like i expected, I know all places probably do things slightly different but I was starving and looking forward to it. I ordered a garlic nan to go with it and this did not taste fresh. Only managed a couple bits of chicken and did not enjoy the texture or smell. Ended up eating the rice with a bit of curry sauce due to my hunger. Would not order from here again based on this unfortunately.
