The best restaurants serving Italian food in Southwark London

Excelente restaurante tradicional italiano. Dueños muy apasionados. Gran carta de vinos. A solo 10 minutos a pie de Borough Market también.

Myself and my Brother took my Dad to Legare as he has mobility challenges and it wasn't far from London Bridge! We couldn't have been more impressed. The welcome was warm, and the staff couldn't have done more for my Dad, even bringing cavolo nero for him to see before they tempura-ed it as he hadn't seen it in its raw form before. They were attentive throughout (especially Alice), and the food was exceptional, particularly the wonderful combination of buratta and Italian meats we had for starters. We plan to return with other members of our family later in the Spring

Noto che le recensioni migliori sono di qualche annetto fa. Ho il grosso dubbio che sia cambiata la gestione. L'ho provato un paio di giorni fa e non ho trovato nulla di favoloso. Certo, trovare della pasta fatta in casa a Londra è sempre interessante, ma la sensazione è che chi cucina non sappia bene cosa stia facendo. Ho preso ravioli burro e salvia. Pasta buona, ripieno non eccezionale, la salvia c'era... I miei dubbi cadono sul burro: quella salsina in cui erano affogati i ravioli magari aveva dentro anche del burro, ma anche un sacco di altra roba: uovo? Olio? Panna? E chi lo sa! La cosa più interessante era l'ambiente in cui si trova il locale, a metà strada tra un mercato coperto ed una sagra di paese. Al centro i tavoli su cui mangiare, attorno tante bancherelle con diversi tipi di cibo. Molto suggestivo ed invitante.

The food here is sooooo good and the service is amazing. Definitely the best bruschetta and carbonara in south London. You’d be a fool to eat anywhere else!

Great pizza. I have passed this place dozens of times. Today I finally went in. I don’t know why I waited so long. The pizzas are great; they are very generous with the toppings. Service is friendly and very quick. Highly recommended.

Un rincón de Sicilia en el mercadillo de Maltby. Mi novia y yo comimos cannoli con pistacho y fue como un viaje a Italia. Muy recomendable para los amantes de la cocina siciliana.

Delicious coffee, pastries and donuts - almond. croissant and cinnamon scroll donut highly recommended. Lovely, knowledgeable and engaging barista. Will definitely be back!

He estado aquí unas cuantas veces con parientes ya que está muy cerca de mi casa. Siempre me encantó la comida, y no es demasiado caro.

As usual the food and overall experience were outstanding: fresh ingredients, imaginatively prepared, generous portions and friendly, efficient service. It’s difficult to pick out favourite dishes - fish, pasta, bruschetta….all of them really. Our guest was very late but the lovely staff took it in their stride. We count ourselves fortunate to live within walking distance of such a great restaurant.

We've been clients of this fine establishment for over 10 years, and can honestly say that their food does not dissapoint. It's been really consistent over the years, along with retained staff, which if always a good indicator of how well a place works. We love the team, love the food and will keep coming back for more! We always enjoy the spicy pizza amisha picante and their arrabiata, our son always get the margharita or pepperoni, and we have tried many of their pasta and specials, really worth a try. All the italians come flocking back after they've tried it once!

Closes between Christmas and new year for a couple of weeks without updating its opening times on Google 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 a journey wasted.

1-Dec-22: Visited as a party of 4 on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was busy and buzzy and waiting staff were friendly. Food was OK, nothing special but nothing bad. My carbonara served from the parmesan wheel was a bit of fun.
