The best restaurants serving Italian food in Stockport North West

Recently under new ownership. What a lovely atmosphere. Although it looks very similar to what it was, the entire experience feels different. Great staff, professional and friendly. Traditional Italian menu prepared to a great standard. Really tasty, well presented food. A couple of specials on the menu. A good selection of wines to suit all tastes and pockets. Definitely worth trying, you won’t be disappointed

We’ve been going to Leonis since it was opened and have always enjoyed the food , drinks and ambience alongside friendly but not overbearing service . We had a celebration there in September and everything was just great , couldn’t fault it at all

So unbelievably sad to see the end of this fine establishment! I have been a customer since 1980. Simply wonderful! Mario's front-of-house skills coupled with Gianni's cooking (and drumming) expertise meant a night here was always a special occasion. In fact, although it could be argued that a restaurant should be judged primarily on its culinary qualities, it was the combination of service, food, ambience and bon homie that made Mario & Gianni's stand out. Birthday meals, romantic meals and company meals - all were hosted here with aplomb! A great loss to Hazel Grove. Footnote: I went to visit Gianni at the hospice when the cruellest disease of them all was taking him. With characteristic joviality, he said he was looking forward to meeting David Bowie and Elvis. 😊

Wrong food delivered. Restaurant refused to take responsibility, were dismissive and told me to contact Just Eat. We all make mistakes but the attitude sucked. No apology

Sunday lunch… spot on!! Had the beef brisket. Spuds and veg lovely. Not a killer on the wallet; well worth a visit Oh and 2for1 cocktails 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

We celebrated my son's 18th at this restaurant and were so impressed with the quality of food, freshness of ingredients and divine taste! Which was topped off with the extra special attention and service given to is by our friendly waitress Sophie! Will definitely be returning here.

Nice chips and good shakes burgers aren't bad either

Went for a family meal out and booked for half 4. Starters for us all arrived after about 15 minutes... No problems at all. Then began the wait. And wait we did... Until 40 minutes later when the waitress came over to apologise for the delay and state they "definitely haven't forgotten us", and it's just a busy night. It was busy by then, but it wasn't when we arrived. Other people arrived, ate and left before we got our main meals. Pretty sure they did forget us! Mains arrived an hour and 20 minutes after we got there... Kids food was fine (thank god!) but the 2 adult pizzas were cold and burnt. Talk about juxtaposition! After another 15 minutes of attempting to grab the attention of the very busy staff, we finally got to send them back, complain and ask for the bill. And, wow. The waitress, said how sorry she was, then dropped "you must be so hungry!"... clearly missing a career as a detective, Sherlock Holmes then went to express our dissatisfaction to a manager, but not before asking if we wanted to take our pizzas home in a box... The pizzas we'd waited and hour and 20 minutes for and which we were trying to REJECT for being cold! The manager of course, could not care less. No apology, no discount offered on the kids food or starters, in fact she couldn't even be bothered to come to our table. She took the adult pizzas off the bill and that was that. So, all in all, a disaster of a visit. Slow service, a waitress who should clearly be given a job at CSI Cheadle, stone cold burnt food and a manager who couldn't care less about the satisfaction of the customer. It's pizza express, we don't expect Michelin Star food, but food that is hot is the minimum you expect really. We won't be returning, and I'd advise that nobody else frequents this venue either.

Amazing Crispy Chicken - simply the best! Excellent Quality food. Staff are amazing, will definitely visit again :)

bugs crawling on the floor, absolutely disgusting, such a terrible food environment. food was also disappointing and not nice. didn't taste fresh at all.
