Been here before (long time ago). My Mum, Stepdad and Nan took me out on the 23rd December for breakfast. We sat next to a radiator which we were expecting it to be on as it was extremely freezing, but unfortunately the radiator wasn't on. Me and my Nan sat on a rocky pew which wasn't great. The time to wait for breakfast and coffee was poor as it wasn't busy at all. Breakfast was great. There needs to be working radiators in the place and the time to wait for breakfast and coffee needs to be quicker in my opinion

Ginos spaghetti house was an unexpected, delicious surprise. The food was incredible, even better than what we had in Italy and the service impeccable. It is deceptively low key looking from the outside but don't let that fool you. This restaurant really hit the mark with food and service. Thank you.

Back in the day this restaurant used to be one of the best in Christchurch. On and off I have been frequenting it for 40ish years. This time though very disappointing. This is supposted to be an authentic Italian restaurant but I'm afraid serving pizzas on mass produced chewy bases is not my idea of authentic! I'll be steering clear in the future.

Booking confirmed for 4 people at the Penn Hill restaurant, when we arrived it was closed and the telephone number was not in service. Called the Westbourne branch who advised PennHill had been closed due to staff storages, yet no contact at all had been made with us, even though email and telephone number had been given

I wouldn’t recommend this place. Yes, it’s cheap, but there’s a reason for that. The pasta was overcooked and mushy, and the pesto looked and tasted like it was days old. It was drowning in thick oil that didn’t even seem like olive oil. When we asked for Parmesan to add some flavor, they were out of it and charged us £2 for a plate of mozzarella instead. Unfortunately, both my daughter and I ended up with horrible stomach aches later that day.

Booked a table here as had a pre theatre meal. Very friendly welcoming and a lovely atmosphere. The service was very quick and efficient. The food is nothing special but it was cooked well and came out hot. Had a taste card so made it good value for money

Very pleasantly surprised by our lunch at Vesuvio today! The waiting staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was good and quick to arrive. Reasonably priced really given the location and there isn’t much competition nearby! There was a lovely view and atmosphere in the side area which was dog friendly and perfect for our two families with 3 small kids. Would go back. The children’s menu undersold itself where the dish was ‘chicken nuggets and fries’ but actually proper chicken breast goujons with fries and also peas.

Been to Lucianos (Luccios? Carluccios??) a couple of times in the last year and it's a decent place for Italian. The food has been great, with a decent pizza, fantastic beef ragu, and the best carbonara I've graced my tastebuds with the second time. I cannot stress enough, the food is FANTASTIC. Portions could do with a little more, but what I've got thus far has tasted lovely. Both times I've come in the place has been eerily quiet, so either something's up with my timing or the place is just... quiet? Regardless, the service has been timely, albeit mild-mannered, both times which isn't an issue at all. There is a 12.5% service charge stuck on as a heads-up, which you'll find in tiny text at the bottom of the menu. Not a fan of that trend as a whole, as I'd much rather tip good service and good food where it's due. My only complaints are the pricing (which is *STEEP*, especially for Dorset at £50+ for dinner for two) and the fact they took beef ragu off the menu - it was a fantastic dish and taking it off the menu is a crime against humanity. Bring it back! Either way, Luciano's food is fantastic, on the proviso that you aren't the person paying for it... But I don't know if that says more about myself or the restaurant. If the staff were a bit chattier and the British economy wasn't doing an impression of the Titanic (or things were a bit cheaper), I'd give five stars.
