Came here as I’m already a fan of there sushi from their takeaway. It’s a little tricky to find as they share the building with another restaurant, and occupy the lower floor, so you have to walk down the stairs if you’ve entered the top entrance, otherwise they have a back entrance direct into their venue. We were very impressed with the service, presentation and range of delicious Japanese food. The Tapas menu was a winner with my wife who got to try a few different things, while for myself, the char siu ramen very tasty and extremely moorish. All in all, can’t wait to return!

Prebooked, now ive done this concept previously, the choice is whom out the group wants to be the chef. Litterally, the food is supplied to you , and you cook your own food on the charcoal grill on the centre of the table. Drinks ordered, delivered, the staff were attentive, informative, polite. Started with sushi, after that it was a mixed bag of selections of good quality, flavoursome meats, side dishes. Loved the concept, but personally im not sure i liked to cook again, i might as well of stayed at home 😂. But, it did add to the night, in a cozy atmosphere. Wagyu , and skirt steak my favourite, seafood nice. Innovative flavours for sure. Burnt me fingers twice though, the ice cube in my drink came in handy. Yes a lovely evening overall, delightful food, im not the chef next time though.

Ordered the miso soup, king prawns, kimchi beef soup, chicken gyoza, king prawns were covered in batter, the prawn it self was cooked yet the batter wasn’t? The kimchi beef soup was literally the only thing eatable but even then little to no beef just mainly soup, and the CHICKEN gyoza was FRONZEN on the inside and well the miso soup you can see for your self… unless you want salmonella id probably say don’t order from here.

Normally love teppanyaki but last night had the saddest, least flavoursome example of this type of food. The moment we arrived we were rushed to the table despite the fact that we were not late. The food did not look or taste fresh, garlic was not cooked through , eating raw garlic is unpleasant. Everything fish or crustaceans related was covered in an unflavoured yellow mayonnaise. Dessert was the usual for Sheffield pancake with vanilla ice cream but this time limited fruit on the plate, no flamed alcohol just dollops of cheap bottled chocolate sauce or cheap bottled syrup. There was no attempt at a show and our cook didn’t have the courtesy to finish his own service. Shame on you ! All of this for £178.00, surely there must be better out there.

I recently visited the restaurant on a Wednesday for their enticing ‘buy one get one free’ Ramen offer, and I must say, it was worth the wait. Arriving at around 7 PM, the place was already bustling with people, and I had to patiently wait for about 10-15 minutes to secure a table for just myself. However, the deliciousness of the Ramen made the wait completely worthwhile. The taste was outstanding, and I can’t wait to return for another mouthwatering experience. The only minor inconvenience was the wait for a table, but the delightful food more than made up for it. I highly recommend giving their Ramen a try! *There’s no parking. You may need to park next to the Devonshire parking lots*
