The best restaurants serving Japanese food in England

We are eat here for the first time for my husband’s birthday meal, the price good, the food wasn’t too bad but the service were not impressed at all. Never been asked by staff if everything ok and we have to always looking for someone to asked for extra while staff pulled unhappy face at the table. The seafood ramen look terrible with no taste and with carrots and courgette which I never experienced that before. However my husband didn’t mind as he can’t be bothered to wait or speak to someone.

The food was delicious, varied and a good selection of vegetarian options for the vegetarian in our group. Good value for money and a big size portion.

Amazing food and great service from the staff. We had tonkotsu ramen with pulled beef and the short rib spicy ramen and both were amazing. The portions were massive and all components came together to create a lovely, balanced ramen. Sadly I'm not a local, otherwise I'd keep coming back for more. Great job!

I placed an order online through deliveroo and less than a few minutes later we called as someone was allergic to mayonnaise and wanted to make sure it was just not added to the order. We were spoken to like absolute children and the person on the phone was unbelievably rude. They were so unhelpful and we just got told to screw ourselves as there was nothing they could do. I asked multiple times what can we do then if someone is allergic to it and it would get thrown away we got told ‘oh well’ ‘I don’t know what to tell you’. I was appalled at the service that we received as I have ordered from here many times and haven’t usually had an issue.

Service was great and the food was super fresh and delicious. The lunchtime menu was really great value. Will definitely return when next in Banbury

I did the sushi making course with my fiancée for a date night and it was amazing. Our Sushi chef Kazuyo was so personable and fun. It is a maximum of 6 people which is just right and our chef was Japanese with 16 years of experience which made it even more authentic. The restaurant decor was amazing and Kazuyo made the experience even better. Thank you Tokii and Kazuyo… definitely recommend

Went here in May 2024 with my boyfriend for our anniversary and wow. It was absolutely amazing. The interior was so cool, staff were extremely friendly and helped with recommending things for us, and the food and drinks were UNREAL. My favorite was the dragon roll, it was the best I’ve ever had in my life and I can’t stop thinking about it. Every single food and drink we ordered just blew me away and I can’t wait to come back here. Staff, food, vibes 100/10

This is the third time we went to the restaurant. The food is great. It is authentic Japanese food which is very difficult to find these days. However, the service we received from the younger waitress was very bad. She was rude and confrontational when she made mistakes with our orders and other things. Will not go there again. Why should we pay to be blamed for her mistakes. It's outrageous and totally unacceptable!

Tried again, as we love Asian food, cocktails were so slow, but assume because of orders and lack of bar staff. Food was ok, although my noodles wasn’t warm, let alone hot. The menu is very very small, we feel the other restaurant on west street offers more choice, Rhangtang.

Best japanese I have ever had in London!! They also have incredible drinks. I went quite some time ago, and I still think about it often because it was that delicious. Obviously on the higher-end price, but worth every penny. Would highly recommend going with a small group & sharing lots of plates- that's what we did and it worked out perfectly! The service was fast, and the overall vibes of the place is really cool, quite a dark and edgy feel to it.

Beautiful decor in a subdued light, that makes the atmosphere mysterious, elegant with a view. Great lounge playlist that made me think of a chic Arabian night. Great cocktail selection.
