Unassuming on the outside and a bit off the beaten path at the top end of Watford’s highsteet, this place is worth going out of your way for. These guys serve Climpsons beans and do it great justice, I’ve been coming for years and never had a bad espresso. They also have a fantastic selection of vinyls. Service is consistently great as well, staff always up for a chat. Food wise options are limited but what they do have is fresh and of decent quality. If you’re after a place with big comfy sofas this isn’t for you, just a few tables inside (and a few outside) but if you're after something a bit different come down soak up the good music and relaxed vibe, and enjoy the LP

Junction Café Bistro in Watford is my go-to spot for breakfast! The food is always fresh and full of flavor—whether it’s their perfectly cooked full English or fluffy pancakes, it’s all amazing. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it such a welcoming place to start the day. Great coffee, great vibes—highly recommend!

This is a fantastic place for brunch with the family. Very friendly/welcoming and very generous portion sizes. Would definitely recommend.

We were utterly dismayed by our dining experience this morning at the Rhubarb Cafe. My husband and I visited the cafe, and I ordered a vegetarian breakfast. A friend joined us later and placed a separate order for a Cumberland sausage. Soon, my meal arrived, and I proceeded to eat it, assuming it was vegetarian. My friend's sausage was significantly delayed, prompting us to inquire about its whereabouts. Eventually, a single sausage was served to my friend. Upon finishing our meals, we were charged for two sausages, despite my friend only ordering one. When we questioned this, the lady at the till stated that the extra sausage had been served on my plate. This revelation was deeply distressing. I’m a devout Hindu and have never consumed pork or beef in my life. The lady at the till displayed a complete lack of understanding or empathy for my religious beliefs and the profound impact this incident had on me. Instead of offering a sincere apology, she seemed to perceive our concerns as a mere attempt to avoid paying. The young man who took our order demonstrated a similar lack of concern, failing to even acknowledge the situation unfolding. The entire staff appeared woefully unprepared to handle such a sensitive matter, with no consideration for religious dietary requirements. This incident raises serious concerns about the kitchen's hygiene and the potential for other diners to have unknowingly consumed dishes contrary to their wishes. This experience was deeply upsetting and left us feeling completely disregarded and disrespected. We urge Rhubarb Cafe to prioritise staff training on cultural sensitivity, religious dietary needs, and appropriate customer service. I understand that this may be difficult for non-vegetarians to fully comprehend, but I hope they can appreciate that consuming meat from animals that they don’t generally consume would be deeply unsettling, just as consuming pork was for me as a devout Hindu.

I have visited this Caffe Nero many times over the years but today will be the last of those visits. They are supposed to serve strong Italian coffee but what did we get - BROWN WATER. They can no longer claim that this is Italian coffee as any Italian would be embarrassed by that claim. Avoid this Caffe Nero at all costs, it is actually worse than Starbucks and that is really saying something!
