Just had an amazing Gammon and Chips from the Pack Horse served with an egg on a hot skillet. Fast and efficient service as usual and really nice friendly staff.

Great gluten free afternoon tea as I have coeliacs and am also vegetarian. Staff were very helpful and it was nicer than others I have had for much more money.

Service was pretty Rubbish, Food was pretty Rubbish, Dining area was Cold, The wine was Awful, And the music was Shocking.

What an amazing place. Fabulous gluten free options including home made scones, cakes and soup. The staff were lovely and I can’t wait to visit again. Also the boutique was a nice find inside the cafe, with a gorgeous selection of women’s items - I just couldn’t resist a purchase.

This is the most truly awful over priced poor quality food I think we have ever had. Giving it 1 was too high! Del boys would be a better name. Milkshake had an enormous chunk of ice in more than anything else. Panini soggy and tasteless. Words cannot describe just how truly awful this place is

Just stopped by for lunch. Although it's a beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings I would not recommend having a lunch from the bar menu. The sandwiches were priced £12-14 which we would have been happy to pay had the quality of the food matched the place itself. Bread was basically thick supermarket sliced, the fillings decidedly average, a few crisps and a miserable offering of salad. The teas looked amazing, other guests were having these at lunchtime and we can see why given the rubbish we were served!

Todo aquí es terrible. Reserva: Traté de reservar una mesa para una cena de despedida con amigos. Tuve que llamar 4 veces y siempre recibí un contestador automático y ninguna confirmación. Finalmente pude reservar una mesa a través del número de teléfono general de la cadena de franquicias de la que forman parte, pero a la llegada nos colocaron en la zona del bar en lugar del restaurante, a pesar de que el restaurante estaba vacío. Ante la queja, nos dieron una mesa alta en el borde del restaurante, mientras que toda la noche la mitad del restaurante permaneció vacío, así que no hay razón para no darnos una mesa adecuada. Comida: tuvimos que esperar 40 minutos para nuestros entrantes; durante ese período, no salió ninguna otra comida de la cocina, y el restaurante solo tenía un grupo de aproximadamente 15 personas, que ya habían comido - ¿estuvo el chef en un descanso? Mi amigo tenía el camembert horneado, que era literalmente un camembert tesco entero puesto en el microondas - no estaba empanado, no estaba sazonado, solo en el microondas en su recipiente de madera! Mi otro amigo y yo comimos una ensalada vegana, que no era ensalada en absoluto, sino una especie de puré de calabaza con mini zanahorias - era tan pequeño, que apenas se podía ver llegar. Tuvimos que levantarnos para encontrar un miembro del personal porque nuestro cuarto abridor nunca llegó. Luego tuvimos otros 45 minutos de espera para nuestra red, que eran igualmente abrumadores: las patatas fritas en el pescado y las patatas fritas estaban mal cocidas (¿quién no puede freír patatas fritas? ? ) , mi risotto era tibio y poco -sazonado con hongos no reconocibles y algunos trozos de faisán seco en la parte superior, que eran tan pequeños, que uno no reconocería esto como un plato de faisán. Mi amiga tenía ñoquis y su plato era tan pequeño, que podría haber sido un entrante. Debido a la mala calidad de la comida, nos abstuvimos de ordenar desiertos. Servicio: ausente y desinteresado. Y finalmente, alrededor de las 9 de la noche comenzó la 'música en vivo', que era tan fuerte que tuvimos que movernos a la zona del bar para poder escucharnos. Se suponía que iba a ser una noche especial y fue simplemente un desastre. Este lugar se ve muy acogedor y agradable, pero es simplemente horrible en todos los aspectos. Nunca volveré a este horror de restaurante.

Travelled to visit, the Cafe advertises its open until 3pm, the cafe put online they were there until 2:30 and when we got there just after 1:30pm it was padlocked and closed? Disappointing visit

Super place to eat and enjoy good company. Eaten here many times with small or large groups of family and friends.

As said below, there's an incredibly rude male barista (no hair) - who really needs to sort himself out. Friendly customer service in exchange for money seems to be too much of an ask. Go elsewhere.

Lovely place with a Nice vibe. Teas and coffee are lovely and nicely priced. Scone are served deliciously warm. My other half can't have milk and they provided fresh sliced lemon for her tea. First class service, would highly recommend of you're in the area.

I love old traditional English pubs, the Royal George is certainly one of them. The landlords were lovely, very welcoming. I am amazed how reasonable the prices are and the quality of the food, the care given to the cooking, presentation are. We had a lovely lunch and enjoyed ourselves a lot. This place is a hidden gem which we will visit again soon.
