Good quality, food, expensive portions of cake small for the cost.

Recently changed management, at first the beer was excellent as usual, but unfortunately new barman is either not trained up to pull pints or doesn't care. Shame used to go in regularly as the beer was first class, unless this problem is rectified won't be 🤔😒😒

Visited today with 15 work colleagues, for lunch, great customer service, friendly and attentive staff fast service, great food, and reasonably priced, will definitely be back in the future

Staff extremely friendly, food absolutely delicious. Overall a really good way to spend an afternoon. Would most definitely recommend!

The first and last time we’re going to visit the broad street social. On a Saturday night out with friends, the first round was great service from the female bartender. Second round we asked for a repeat of our first round which included two Aperol spritz. The male bartender said no we don’t do them, we explained we’d had the drinks previously, he abruptly shouted we haven’t got time! We found him so rude we decided to leave, the female bartender looked extremely embarrassed, as did other customers.

Lovely place to relax,friendly staff,outside seating available, very clean. Recommended

DO NOT visit. I have just been left for over an hour following a food order with an 2 & 6 year old. When we chased food we were told 10 mins and 25 mins after that I asked to speak to the manager. With tables who ordered long after us still being served I was told there had been an issue in the kitchen and our food would be boxed for us to take on the train. It wasn’t! Reluctantly they gave me a refund for food but refused to refund our drinks. After I made a scene and said the fact they hadn’t even offered the kids anything to eat by 2pm was shocking the manager then said he would refund drinks!!! Even my train mad husband has said he will never return! Shocking service from completely incompetent staff.

Son loves his coffee and mocha from here. Been coming here for many years but just tried the sweet stuff but now it's halal, it's great to try other alternatives. Really enjoyed it, good saver meals!!

Always busy not very big for seating so dinner time is hectic!

Awful. Walked in spent 15mins stood at an empty bar waiting to be served and decided to leave. The clientelle there that night were scary to say the least, we were approached by a very drunk, angry girl as we walked in who seem to want to fight with everyone, she knocked a hat off someone's head and hit my friend in the face. This seemed to be the norm in there that night. Not a good experience wouldn't want to go back.

Order ed two hot beef and onion muffins with a tea and a hot chocolate and we also ordered a portion of chips. The hot beef and onion muffins were lovely, however the portion of chips was the worst chips I've ever had and would never like again. The chips tasted like they had been reheated and cooked in awful fat, that had been left and they seemed burnt. We tasted one or two and then asked the waitress about the chips because of their lack of quality. The waitress responded by saying "The fat is changed every day and I don't know what to say and she then proceeded to walk off and ignore our customer complaint. This is not what you expect in customer service and I wouldn't recommend anyone to ever go going here again.

How do you elucidate on greasy spoon? Its ok, but not cheap, the quality is hit and miss and getting served at both the café and deli counters is at times like a scene from Faulty Towers. However, on the bright side the food on the deli counter is quite good, but the coffee and food in the café is as described - hit and miss and at best average. The table cleaning and clearing could also be better, but you are where you are, would I go back again, yes (and have done) as there is not a lot of difference between the food offerings on and in the Market area.

Just called in for some brunch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was very tasty. I read the previous poor reviews of the staff but that was not at all my experience today. It was a very enjoyable visit and I will come again

We have been coming here weekly for morning coffee for years. However, this week they have installed new coffee machines which aren’t capable of producing a hot cup of coffee, only a lukewarm cup of bitter tasting coffee. The manager kindly explained that this was to reduce staffing levels as no barista input was involved, just pressing a few buttons! Given the vast array of coffee shops in the vicinity, where they produce barista made coffees to your liking, we shall take our custom elsewhere from now on.
