A fabulous family run pub, with a brilliant atmosphere. Family orientated, love dogs. If you are Solo, welcome you with open arms. Love this pub and I will be returning

A poor experience from booking to food. Tried to book a Christmas meal at the restaurant - told to book on line which we did. Didn't need a solicitous enquiry about whether my friend could manage to do this. We booked & paid a deposit - as requested ordered in advance. Despite receiving an acknowledgement, W&W phoned to say a deposit needed & where was our order. Turned up for our meal to be told lots of cancellations & we were the only ones eating. Felt hurried along so staff could get home - could see our main being plated as we ate our starters which were tasty. Food then hung around as we were out for an evening & didn't want to eat it straight away. Consequently salmon dry - no buerre blanc at all or spinach as advertised until asked for. Never been served salmon with stuffing balls before. Turkey nicely cooked & lots of veg - shame carrots & sprouts over cooked and red cabbage too vinegary. Plentiful but very salty gravy. Puddings good - but cheese board (+Ā£4) disappointing. Many wines not available. Bill came to over Ā£200 for 4 and feel this was poor value for money with no atmosphere. A real shame as we have had food there before which was very good. It just felt joyless.

Absolutely fantastic. My husband had a breakfast which had, as he put it, proper sausage and bacon and perfectly cooked eggs. I had a taste sensation in frangipane crumpets with an orange sauce and almonds. They were amazing. The staff were lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Proper tea with tea leaves too. A gem of a find while visiting from overseas. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you Rec Room for a fab breakfast experience. Ps can't add photos we were too busy enjoying our food to take any.

Just revisited Cafe Jardin ( formerly called " Peace , Love & Cake " ) in Royton , Oldham , for a late breakfast / early lunch !! Food as lovely as ever - I had rhe hot roast beef muffin off the " Specials " board - great service too - the owners really look after you and make you feel welcome . Immaculately clean , easy to park right behind it - we will be visiting again soon , I am sure. Thank you š

My husband and I had Afternoon Tea on Saturday 27th July. Absolutely gorgeous. Very fresh. The best we have ever had. The young lady serving was delightful.

amazing place, very efficient staff and the food was just amazing. Restaurant quality food which i didnt expect. The cheese and onion pie is just out of this world, so much attention to detail.

I only wish I had a pound bakery near me. I have to drive 4 hours for my nearest and everything is incredible. The baguettes are so fresh and cheap at Ā£1.50 and the bavarian slice and strawberry tarts are out of this world. They are cheap but the quality and taste are amazing. So annoyed that I can only have this as a holiday treat

The pub has a friendly atmosphere, the staff have a lot to do with this as you are greeted with a beaming smile as you walk through the door. Carol and Bob have created a clean and bright lounge and games room, and a lovely beer garden to the rear. There is a quiz night once a week, live bands and DJ s appear regularly. The only thing that lets it down is John power and Dave Ashton talking rubbish at the bar.
