Best mussels I. Town served in a chorizo and asparagus sauce. Absolutely delicious. Also a very nice steak and kidney pudding for my brother all went down very nicely with thei delicious sangria

We booked christmas day lunch l. Having had a previous hungry horse christmas day meal in Cliftonville, my expectations weren't too high. I have to admit my reservations were unfounded! The complementary drink was followed by well presented starters. Mine was a terrine and it was absolutely lovely.The others had prawn and salmon. They also said it was lovely. I had rib eye steak. It was tender with no gristle (a first for a hungry horse) our table also had a turkey roast. The presentation wasn't that good. However, there was so much food on a big plate, it wouldn't have been easy to make it look better. The vegetables were crisp and tasty. A very impressive roast which will be hard to beat in the future. I'm not a desert person. It was nice and there wasn't any left on anyone's plates. A good indicator. My only criticism would be the lack of real ale. Overall, very impressed that a budget pub can deliver such a tasty meal on Christmas day.

We had takeaway curry and it was fabulous! Great size portions, comes with rice and popadoms snd excellent value, we will definitely order again!

We went here for a birthday meal for my partner, and were made very welcome. The menu is clearly marked with allergens but were told that any item in the menu could be adjusted to suit. The food was delicious and the service excellent. A lovely place to eat.

Classic and relaxed place for a drink. Often cycle here, done well to let going post Covid given location and opening hours.

Lovely place always feel welcome Seated quickly but when it’s busy worth booking ahead for a table Really enjoyed the selection of cakes had warmed bread pudding which was so nice Lovely selection of hot drinks and teas We will be back soon
