The breakfast was really good and good value for money . What the big shame of the place was the blue haze from the cooking and the smell. Although the extractors were on , I don’t know where it was extractor the cooking smell as I had to come home and wash my clothes and shower - it was that bad! It has put us off revisiting. We were on a day off , but if we were working we couldn’t go back to work . Other than that friendly people and chilled atmosphere.

We are having Chris Chu funeral wake at the cafe on Wednesday 11th September 10.30am. This was Chris's favorite place for many years before his passing on 19.08.2024.

Even has a piano for the customers

The roast was delicious. Family had pork and beef. My husband had triple meat! Veg and meat cooked to perfection 👌 and presentation was excellent as well. Side dishes available on request, we had stuffing, pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese. The pub is very well kept and the Christmas decorations were beautifully done. There are lots for children and families to do too, such as board games great for all and crayons and colouring books etc. Thank you for the warm welcome.

FIVE the Beach and all it's staff are FABULOUS. Recently attended one of their Festive evenings, starter cocktail & nibbles followed by a delicious 3 course menu. It was a really special evening. It's no exaggeration to say it was the most divine food I/we've ever tasted. You can tell that the team there love what they do. Accommodating for vegetarians. We were warmly welcomed by the wonderful staff, as we always are at Five. A really top evening, I would highly recommend! Keep your eyes & ears open for when they announce another special evening dining experience!

Gem of a pub with good selection of beer and cider. Staff very welcoming to our large group. Stayed for drinks and some hot snacks.

Came here at the weekend after a dog walk and we’re pleasantly surprised! Lucky to sit outside with no rain we enjoyed a coffee and toasties. Both super tasty and well priced. We will defo be back!

Lovley welcome, food was perfect cooked, not salty or deep fried mushrooms, properly cooked overall, lovely scrambled eggs and very nice staff.

Stopped by today for lunch Food was excellent with plenty of choice & great customer service. Would definetly recommend.

First time here and what a wonderful experience! Genuinely I think this might have been the NICEST pub experience I have had in a very long time. Exemplary service, lovely atmosphere and DELICIOUS food! The nicest pub burger any of us have EVER had. Thanks for a lovely experience, we’ll back again!

This really is a gem of a place. Dog friendly. Every choice of food had by our family was outstanding & the same with our deserts. This chef here really can cook & present the food well. Every member of staff were super efficient & happy, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.
