Really splendid Sunday Lunch. Interesting and varied menu but could not resist the Devon beef and that was superb- absolutely melted in the mouth. Great selection of vegetables perfectly cooked, great gravy and home made horseradish that knocked your socks off. A lovely space, friendly staff and good wine list. All very reasonably priced - honestly if I lived in the area I would probably visit every week. It deserves to be booked out every week!

Found this place on the Vegan app. Drove past wondering if was open as it looks small from the outside but when you walk in it opens up๐. Lovely service, food and atmosphere with an approach of serving the community. There were parents playing board games and reading to their children and we had two separate people join us at our table for a quick coffee โhelloโ and off again. I will stop here when driving past again and if I lived here this would be my local cafe.

Absolutely delicious meal with generous portion of duck and prawns in each of the main meals . Fairly priced . Only with held one star as lighting rather stark and Iโd prefer something gentler but comes down to personal taste . Already planning my next visit .

What a fantastic place-wish we'd found it earlier in the summer. Great food, freshly prepared, nothing too much trouble. Great serving, lots of seating. Slightly quirky and they do live music events. Thanks to the team for looking after us all for Jos birthday last Sunday. You were brilliant ๐๐ฝ ๐๐ฝ

An absolutely magnificent "proper pub." James & Darren are absolute legends. Had drinks & food over a couple of days. There's not many pubs left in the UK like this unfortunately, nowadays. Top notch, service, friendliness & all good round community pub with thr locals to match. Without a doubt, we will be back again on our next trip to Devon.

Cosy and welcoming pub! We went for Friday night fish and chips which was delicious. Crispy and light batter, home made tartare sauce was a delight and their curry sauce was very nicely spiced. Overall, well worth a visit. Lots of locals too which is a great sign!
