Travelled to weymouth on Sunday 26 May to celebrate my brothers brithday. Booked tables in advance as it was bank holiday. Recieved booking confirmation. Arrived at playyard to find its not even open on a sunday!

Really lovely little coffee shop, fantastic cakes and superior quality coffee. We had an American, breakfast tea, diet coke, white tiffin with cranberries, normal white tiffin and a coffee and walnut cake, latter was scrumptious! Pleasant service, outdoor toilet was basic but very clean.

Getting us used to the new look Vaults Bar at the Crown Hotel. More features on the walls. Nice to see Amy again, behind the bar.

One of the best breakfasts I've had. The Bacon and Hash Browns were delicious. Would also recommended the Cheese and Mozzarella Pannini. Very good customer service but It took a while to be served and we had to request sauces. A nice spot for lunch in Weymouth

Nice mix of tapas, snacks and cocktails. Very chilled and kris back atmosphere, perhaps too laid back in some cases. A sweater and jeans for waitress was a bit too casual I thought. Other than that it was a great place, we've been twice with visitors we've had over who have all really enjoyed it.

Convenient for an ice cream break in front of the beach. Not really a beach view and street location with traffic, but small tables on the street are practical all the same. Staff at the reception sober and super efficient. Very reasonable prices. Good value for money. Special mention to the vanilla clotted ice cream, a treat! Very dog friendly with a special ice cream section for dogs

Very overrated. Service very average unfortunately. The staff aren't very quick to acknowledge you are there and waiting to be served. A simple 'be with you in a moment ' wouldn't go amiss. Does well because of where it is,rather than what it is

Visited the previous day and we just had a drink of mulled cider. Went back because the menu on the board looked good. Decided to forgo our hotel meal and return to the Black dog. No manager present, just a young man who could not serve us as he was under age. then a chap turned up and took my order, but i noticed the food menu on the board had changed and hardly anything on the board was not what we wanted. Anyway, decided on steaks and shepherds pie. Steaks rubbish and tough as hell. Place very cold, despite their being a log fire, but not alight? and language from people behind us not pleasant. Frozen to the bone, left our meal, despite a very good musician turning up. Sorry, but nice old pub, but needs decent management!
