Had a wonderful 'light' lunch here today. Shared seafood aranchini and sliced steak, followed by deserts, delicious! Great and friendly service with all the staff, especially the lovely Ana. Many thanks!

Called in here with our friends & 2 doggies while visiting York. one of our party went to the toilet & the staff member came over to order but we weren’t quite ready & one of our party wasn’t back yet from the toilet , but we were told they would take our order now & get the other person’s when they come back, Rushing us into ordering there & then! Coffee was nice , fruit scones were nice, my friend asked for some water for our dogs to which we were asked if we had our own bowl! ( in a dog friendly cafe you generally get water brought to you) One of the party had the coffee & walnut cake & it was very dry . The one staff member wasn’t overly friendly when we arrived, but she did improve by the time we left but it did leave us thinking it was a very strange visit.

Menu is standard Italian with nothing unusual at all. Food was fine but my Arrabiata was nothing like any other Arrabiata I've had before and came with spaghetti, rather than the usual penne. My friend ordered pasta and was served a pizza. I ordered pate which came with a choice of garlic bread or salted rosemary bread but I asked if I could have plain bread instead. It came with plain bread instead (which was lovely) and they charged me £5 extra for the bread. Both waitresses who served us made mistakes, but I guess everyone has to start somewhere. A 6/10 for me on the on night I went.

Probably not the most helpful of reviews here for cafe-goers, but I went here to do a woodcarving workshop! It was really fun. I made a wooden spoon and during the whole process I got really helpful advice. Food was served halfway through, and it was gorgeous! I had a delightful ham and cheese sandwich, some delectable brownies and some savoury croissants! All in all, a wonderful place, super friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere, really tidy and a very cosy space. I will return here for coffee and cake soon! I should add that the staff were lovely and happy to have a chat!

An excellent vegan and vegetarian cafe. The 4 of us are a mixture of vegan and non-vegans. The food is fantastic. We can recommend the Goji vegan brunch and we went back later for the vegan and vegetarian strawberry cream tea. The fruit scones were better than non-vegan ones - so light, fluffy and super tasty. Will definitely revisit.
