The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Central Scotland

A very cosy and intimate cafe tucked inside a lane on South Street. Visited on a rainy day for hot chocolate and scones, both were top notch!

We only popped in for one drink but ended up spending the whole afternoon here. Had a great time. Nice people behind the bar and would definitely recommend the pies.

I was staying at Travelodge next door with my 4 year old grandson, Jack, having travelled that day from Glasgow by bus. I realised too late that I should probably have booked a table for us for dinner. I had eaten there a few times before over the years and had loved it. I was greeted by a young man who told me that he was sorry but they were fully booked. The thought of taking a taxi to and from the City Centre with a tired, hungry child and trying to find somewhere to eat, did not appeal. I think he saw that in my expression when I told him we were staying next door. He told me to wait and very quickly managed to find us a table which he explained would need to be vacated in 1 hour. We were delighted. The food was served so quickly that even my grandson commented on it. Both meals were delicious and we cleared our plates. Service was perfect and Jack loved his menu sheet as crayons were given to colour the other side. Full marks from both of us for a lovely experience. I looked for the young man on our way out to thank him, saw him last minute and waved and shouted thanks to him as he was extremely busy. He smiled and waved back. Thank you to all staff members for a perfect evening. We will be back- I will book next time. :)

Booked a table for 8. We've tried a number of places locally when visiting my in-laws over the years and can confidently say that this is one of the best meals out we've had. This despite the fact that there were only two front of house staff on shift, both of whom delivered exceptional service and should be commended on their cool demeanor and welcoming attitude. Food was great also, great burgers especially. Wonderful experience and we'll definitely be back.

Si estás buscando un alojamiento perfecto y confortable en Dundee, Piccolo Italian Restaurant es tu hogar lejos de casa. El restaurante tiene un ambiente encantador e íntimo, aunque las mesas eran un poco pequeñas y muy juntas, así que sentí que no podía tener una conversación adecuada, pero eso no me desanimaría ya que la comida estaba deliciosa. Con tan pocos restaurantes italianos en la zona, Piccolo una joya absoluta. El menú ofrece una fantástica selección de platos tradicionales italianos, cada uno preparado con cuidado y lleno de sabor. ¡No podemos esperar para volver!

Yes off the beaten track but well worth it

Really enjoyed our visit to Friend of Mine that had a great menu with lots to choose from. Chose the salmon Benedict and the taste and flavours were great. Hot roast salmon with beautiful poached eggs - shall be back. Also had the breakfast bap which is more than a handful. There is passion in the kitchen and it shows. Good service and a busy place which shows that everyone appreciates the quality being offered.

Nice bright Lounge and no noisy music.

The haggis, cheese and onion toasties are an acquired taste!

I met my brother for a pre concert drink. The place was very busy, and the atmosphere was very good. The bar staff were excellent, quick to serve, polite and friendly.

Great ice cream on the way back to Edinburgh from highland.

I love it, a must-visit place, order the chai lattel and the brutal almond croissant!
