Lovely place to eat and or just have a drink. Very busy so must be popular. All our dishes were very tasty, well presented and served quickly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only 2 toilets, (1 mens and 1 ladies) so a bit of a queue ! Car park opposite which is free after 6pm.

On arrival the Old Mill Inn was very cosy, inviting and had beautiful christmas decorations up. We arrived around 2.30pm and our room was ready which was amazing! The receptionist showed us to our room which was number 9. The room was cosy, and the bed was very comfy. In the bathroom there was a choice of a rain shower or a hand held shower. The rain shower was amazing and the temperature gauge was easy to use. We went to the restaurant for dinner, the staff, atmosphere and food were excellent. The only thing I would make people aware of is that if you are staying on a saturday in room number 9 you will hear the band until 12 and the car park is a little hard to find. I would recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Starting with the positives all the food was delicious and the place itself is a lovely venue. I appreciate the large variety of "different" drinks but I would like to see some more staples, not being able to order a standard cola is daft. The staff were a bit mixed, the hostess was lovely and smiled, the other staff we interacted with were needing to work on their service, no smiles, no banter and just generally seemed to be lacking in charm and friendliness. The prices are extreme, 14.50 for a burger that doesn't come with chips is frankly outrageous and if we had known we would would have chosen elsewhere. Ended up being 17-18 pounds per person for a burger and chips (not including drinks). Serving the food in cheap plastic baskets didn't help, if I'm paying 18 quid for a burger the least you could do was put it on a plate or even a wooden basket, but this felt like something you'd get from a fairground. Sadly I don't think we will be back as the prices are just too high to justify the experience, better training is needed to teach staff how to interact with people, at current you'd be better with iPads on the table to order as staff only said "what can I get you" and walked away without another word.

This was our first time here for breakfast and will not be our last. We both had the full cooked breakfast with a pot of Earl Grey tea . It was really delicious, apart from the beans which were not very warm. The staff are really friendly and efficient and the place has a lovely ambiance.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The stars of the show were the absolutely excellent mains - we had smoked haddock risotto and a sea bass special. Both were extremely tasty and very well cooked. The service was extremely good - welcoming, efficient and confident. I strongly recommend visiting - we will certainly be back.

Lovely visit as always. Very helpful, friendly staff, the most amazing scones and the summerhouses are brilliant-cosy, dog friendly-a brilliant idea, finished off with a walk to see the Heilan Coos. A truly wonderful place to visit-there is something for everyone. The added bonus is the Christmas Shop is also now open. Don’t delay-visit today
