The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Central Scotland

Bohemian is the word that describes this place. Owner Al is an ex boxer with a light hand on the cuisine. Great breakfasts, good coffee and Sunday roasts plus Home baking. Dog and child friendly and very reasonable. Impromptu music sessions are liable on a Sunday and it’s the kind of place to sit and chill out. But wrap up warm. For those who like a challenge try the belly buster breakfast. I dare you! Newly opened. I hope it succeeds and wish it well. Will. E a breakfast regular and a lunch visitor too.

Turned up on a stormy night, expecting to get one of their famous burgers, but was the Xmas menu which definitely did not disappoint.

We had such a good time visiting Forgans for the breakfast with Santa in December. The event was so well organised, breakfast buffet was great with so much choice - loads of veggie/vegan options, our whole family had a great time and the kids loved meeting Santa and getting a present from him. Made great memories and will definitely book in again for next year

A number of new staff working that night. Although it was clear they were new they were very pleasant throughout. Well done during a particularly busy period

What can I say, walked in off the street with a group of 7 and cheeky chap David sorted us a table within 5 mins in the door that's just for starters. The staff went above and beyond giving us just a much banter back as we deserved as we are a right cheeky bunch, the food was on point as well I must say. Thanks for having us and thanks for a great start to a great night for our Stag party

We really enjoyed our recent meal here to celebrate our friends 40th. Great customer service, and good food and drinks. A real asset to Kirkcaldy and look forward to our next visit.

Don’t come to this place! The owner is so rude, I asked for a tea just with OAT MILK BOT WITH WATER, and when I said to her she trough my tea and after she said me I have to pay again the tea just with milk, and I said to her she has to tell me before how much is the price before throwing away the tea , so she get angry and do it me the same tea with water.

Disappointed in the mac and cheese which looked like a child's portion but fish and chips looked outstanding.

Beautiful, cosy pub right by Stirling castle. We stopped for some lunch and everything was tasty and affordable and it had a really nice atmosphere.

I’m embarrassed (for the restaurant) to write this review. But here goes… We booked a table for six people for 2.30pm on Saturday. We were contacted at 1.48pm, telling us that they “had a problem” starting their shift (!) and that they would take us at 3.30pm… So we delayed our lunch for an hour. When we arrived at 3.30pm (to an empty restaurant), the waitress was surprised to see us. We mentioned our text which received a quizzical response from her. She then explained that firstly she had just started her shift, secondly the text hadn’t come from her and thirdly the chef had also just arrived. She said that they would “probably” start serving food after 4pm but that there were plenty of restaurants down the road who would have space for us. So we went to Pacos (down the road) and had a really excellent meal. On the way back up the road, we looked into the window of The Bothy and I was (un)surprised to see a couple of tables of customers with booze but no food. Whilst I am hopeful that we might have been served eventually, had we waited for the chef to get his/her act together, I am not certain that we’d have been served this side of Christmas - we’re currently in August - which is a shame since I can’t wait that long (I’m in charge of trifle this year). But seriously, this was bad communication and terrible customer service. Avoid this restaurant- go to Pacos instead!

Second bad experience in the span of a few months. We live locally, and loved it here our first time as a couple. Went in, and the bar staff seemed irritable. We ordered our food, and were told a couple items weren’t available. I made two trips to our table to ask my other half if she wanted something different. I asked the bar staff to hold my spot. I returned and they were taking someone else’s order. When the order was in, people before us got their food. Two sets of families came, ordered, ate, and left. The waitress came to us, and said she just found our ticket, and that some food we ordered they no longer had. They offered to refund us, we accepted, still assuming we would get our meals. Then they still didn’t bring the food. Usually after a hour especially, they’d refund you anyways in any restaurant as it’s a ridiculous thing to have happen…. But it seemed like they cancelled our meals. When we asked they brought it out a half hour later, hanging out of take away boxes. We were just shocked. We wanted to relive the experience of our first date. I’d had paid again just to sit in and eat, as we really liked it there before. Quite unreal. In some ways it felt like we were discriminated against (though we weren’t, it just had the same effect on your feelings as being discriminated against. If you know you know). Anyhow, we will never return, unfortunately.

Went with family all had different tastes ages from 8 to 85 all enjoyed it staff fantastic very attentive couldn't recommend highly enough

Ordered a guinness it was terrible tasted sour reported it. Pipes need cleaned The trainee Barmaid maggie wasnt interested charged me another pint when i asked for stella. You cant pay for food,and drinks all at once as she gets confused if you put 3 pints behind the bar. To much for her .Her attitude stinks when i says i will pay now. No go to the cash machine.. I wont be back i was a paying customer her attitude is shocking
