We had heard of this new Romanian restaurant in Reading and took our chance. It was a delight. The place has recently moved to be able to offer seating as well as take-away and deliveries. The small six-table dining area is tastefully decorated and the staff just wonderful. And the best part? The food is almost entirely home-made and genuinely Romanian. The prices are very reasonable, so this is good value for money. This was a loverly discovery, and we will be back.

Absolutely amazing place, perfectly served delicious food and great atmosphere. You'll be served by friendly, kind and helpful Klaudia, who puts her heart into creating phenomenal, unique Street food. I would recommend this gorgeous place to anyone. We came here for afternoon tea and had a lovely experience. The food was lovely, especially the scones and the staff were fantastic. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

Apareció en un día soleado al pasar con la familia visitante. Pintura azul y amarillo brillante encantador con sillas y mesas fuera. Hay un piso de arriba también. Compacto en el interior ofrecen una deli, cafés, tés y pasteles. Tenía un pastel Nata encantador. 🇧🇷 Refrescos brasileños té o café no estoy seguro Apoyará cafés independientes locales / tiendas / delicatessen acostumbrados en Londres tan contento de descubrir Reading necesita más de esto. We had lunch at this restaurant and was delicious and very good portions. Staff very kind and friendly. Would recommend.

Tucked away from the crowds, a great place to enjoy a quality meal.

On the whole a good stay. Firstly the location - couldn’t be better for the train station over the road, and also all the shops and restaurants in the other direction. Instead of having your bedding and towels changed (which is unnecessary for a 2 night stay) you can choose to have a free drink voucher to the value of £7.50 - a sensible idea. The service was good and in keeping with all Malaison hotels nicely decorated, I like the exposed brickwork. Decent WiFi. The only issue I had in my room (220) was an unpleasent damp/musty odour coming from the bathroom. Quite overpowering on opening the door, but you got used to after a while. A quick investigation identified the source as a mould patch on the ceiling above the shower. There is no ventilation in the bathroom, and the windows in the room can’t be opened so this is inevitable. If you’re allocated room 220 ask for another one. A drawback to operating such an old building (in fact it’s believed to be the world’s oldest railway hotel). No fridge in the room. Apart from that it was a good stay and would consider returning so long as the room didn’t have the same issue.

Tenía una zona semi-privada reservada para una celebración de cumpleaños y fue tan fantástico! Los camareros (Alfie y George) eran muy serviciales, relajados acerca de ayudarnos con todo (decoraciones, bebidas de bienvenida, etc) y simplemente hizo que todo el proceso fuera tan estresante - gratis y suave - gracias por hacer el cumpleaños tan especial ☺️

I had the pleasure of dining at Nando's recently, and I just had to leave a review because of the outstanding service I received from Maja. From the moment I walked in, Maja greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel right at home. She was incredibly attentive, ensuring I had everything I needed and offering recommendations that turned out to be spot-on. Her energy was so positive, and she genuinely went above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable. It’s rare to find service that feels so personal and genuine. Thank you, Maja, for making my visit truly amazing! 5 stars all the way!

Pointless advertising a phone number, when they just pick up the call, put the phone on the counter without saying anything and then completely ignore it till you get bored and hang up. Customer service were just as useless.
